Ah the classic "let's all just attack individually instead of all three of us together against this one guy, so there are more chances for them to win!"
The worst part is they really could trust maul to work with them. If only the Jedi could see past the same arrogance that caused their downfall. Sidious warned them. Maul told them. And yet.. So close.
I like how Maul isnt even mad at Ezra for failing his test, simply offering advice instead, considering his character, i figured hed be angrier but nope, it shows that while all he knows is suffering, his soft spot is still there, the same soft spot he had for his brother
I can't help but think that when Maul saw the inquisitors while saying "what fun" in his mind he was like "really? This pathetic excuse of fighters with double sabers gave them so much trouble?") to then show how you DO fight with a double saber.
Imagine If they had Maul on their side throughout the series. They would've never lost a battle. Every encounter they come across would have resulted in a decisive, total victory.
I would love a fight between the Grand Inquisitor and maul, now, maul might win, however people underestimate the Grand Inquisitor, and he was done pretty dirty in rebels overall. First the Grand Inquisitor being sent, then Vader and then the weak Inquisitors. Not sure if that even made sense but yea anyways.. Overall, I think the Grand Inquisitor is very underrated. He was a Temple Guard which of course requires specific characteristics, they were elite, strong and respected. Additionally, he has studied almost the entirety of the Jedi Archives, allowing him to understand all the lightsaber forms that the jedi used and counter them easily + master them in some way. Also gathered information on many Jedi and their past etc. Of course, most of this wasn't represented properly in Rebels, sadly. My opinion though. That's the only major critique I had regarding the show, otherwise you know, it was wonderful.
Those helicopter lightsabers irk me. Not so much they can fly (provided the force is being used to give it that thrust), but how lazy they are to spin their very own lightsabers. Would make any saber user who learned the art of twirling lightsabers feel insulted to see that I would think
oh my gOD this show was so dumb. so many interesting and cool and neat and fun storytelling elements, and mixed into every episode is Stupid Ezra Saying Dumb Shit, and the Stupid Flying Helicopter-Lightsaber Boys. It's like if every episode of Clone Wars had been a Jar-Jar episode.
Im sick n tired of the conflict between Jean and the Pheonix force. Its been long enough! Please writers, have her finally EMBRACE IT and become something more and KEEP IT. I dont care for Echo having it or anybody else. This is a great build up if its leading to Jean/Phoenix becoming one resurrecting herself plus everybody else and exacting revenge on Orchis.
