Even if it is from Lilly, no way I would give them this release. Inappropriate overreach! I think they are fishing if you have a savings card and haven’t filled in a while. Seems like they are using this to lay further ground work for lawsuits against compounding pharmacies and associated prescribers. No way in hell I’m going to help them in that pursuit!!! Shady AF
I've been wondering too - what to be gained? And these letters will be mailed back to the actual Lilly - even if they original letter was "faked". Someone trying to "set up" Lilly for requesting this? If Lilly actually sent that letter, besides being completely inappropriate to request - the formatting and presentation is HORRIBLE. Are we aware of anyone besides ONE person geting this?
Is there anyway they get people's names & info from social media like FB, Reddit? Purchased personal info from the Change Healthcare hacker?😂 But no, seriously, WTH is happening??? I agree with others this seems like a serious violation of privacy, and it's scary to think they can access any records. As someone who was originally signed up with LillyDirect to try to get ZB, I possibly already gave them a release. I know my docs have access to my filled presciptions, cause I always get the questions about are you still taking this or that - meds taken for a week for a sinus infection 3 years ago...
unlikely, all they have to do is get a few employee's to sign up in zep groups on facebook and ask people where to get compounds, they will get a bunch of posts complete with promo codes. pretty easy.
I feel like this is in violation of HIPAA law for them to have access to individual’s demographic information as well as a record of a medication they took. At first glance if I got the letter I’d do nothing as it’s my personal medical information and my right to share or not.
I don’t disagree, but scammers don’t typically pick such individualized targets. I’d buy it more if it was an email. There’s so many questions. #1 where was the return envelope going? I don’t disagree this letter looks fishy but maybe that’s by design too?
I was thinking of that...and then mail it back to them if they provide a postage-paid envelope. My Mom is turning over in her grave, but she said I get my sense of humor from Dad. God rest their souls!
Wow, what could possibly be next. I dont know that I believe it's Eli Lily. I do however believe their is a group working for Eli Lily to spear head some of the things that are going on via shutting down FB and instagram profiles and anything with the possibility of compound meds. I also believe they are utilizing all avenues financial, social, corporate, and other means to take away access for compounded medication. However this is all my conspiracy and is based on no actual information....
I got a letter the other day about a data breach for health care service. The letter came from Change Healthcare that claims to work with other Healthcare companies. A whole shizton of info was hacked. I wonder if Lilly was the hacker?
No! This is a well-known cyberattack that affected medical billing companies. “On February 21, 2024, Change Healthcare became aware of deployment of ransomware in its computer system. Once discovered, Change Healthcare quickly took steps to stop the activity, disconnected and turned off systems to prevent further impact, began an investigation and contacted law enforcement. Change Healthcare’s security team worked around the clock with several top security experts to address the matter and understand what happened. Change Healthcare has not identified evidence this incident spread beyond Change Healthcare. “ I work with medical billers and coders. This attack was widespread across many platforms.
@@Valley_Gal I do too. I would never EVER provide any info them. I assume a scare tactic like the Cease-and-Desist letters. If they were serious, they would sue. But that would cost Millions of $$.
In the United States, the first approved generic version of a drug gets exclusivity for six months. This means no other generic versions of Victoza will be approved to go to market until late December 2024. The reason the generic price is so high is because Teva effectively has a generic monopoly for the first 6 months. True competition will happen at the very end of the year. Happy holidays
Just started 2 weeks ago using mounjaro 5mg. I am walking 30 to 45 minutes a day 4 to 5 days a week with other light exercising. No weight loss as of yet. Eating three meals a day. What can you recommend that I do for a 62 year old man?
Great show! One topic that never gets mentioned when the price of medicines in the US is compared to price in other counties, is the prevalence of litigation in the US. How much do law suits cost the pharmaceutical companies? Their malpractice insurance alone is probably astronomical. I’m not sure that other countries are allowed to sue like in the US.
Dave, thank you so much for not excluding the seniors in the community of On The Pen. So many of our doctors and the healthcare system at large, as well as the very society we live in begin to write us off when we turn 65. One could feel that all of a sudden, all of our years of contribution to this society have been stricken from the record. You're made us feel a part of things and have advocated for us sooo much. I'm so thankful that during my lifetime, this medicine has become available to help so many of us who have suffered obesity. Anyone at any age who needs this should have the opportunity to use it. Thanks for being in our corner. I've lost 56 lbs, my blood.pressure medication is gone, and I'm weaning from antidepressant. I hope to be around for my friends and family for much longer. About 22 more lbs to goal, and your channel is a happy place for me. On October 18th I'll be on a plane, fitting in my lapbelt and loving life. Thanks again for all you do!❤
My 94 yo dad was prescribed a blood pressure pill, not for blood pressure issues but because he had afib and his heart raced, the purpose of the blood pressure pill was to slow his heart rate.
Most Medicare patients with type 2 diabetes benefit greatly from GLP1 drugs. Older patients usually don't take the drugs for obesity but rather for the diabetes. Your post seems to indicate you believe it's a waste to get a greater discount for older patients who are less able to afford the drugs.
Medicare patients totally need these medications just like anyone else? Starting Medicare at 65 is still quite young with a long life ahead. Every Medicare recipient deserves the same medication options as anyone else.
Call me a bootlegger, I’ve lost 30lbs on bootleg and perfectly healthy now, even told my dr about and he agrees to keep taking it as my insurance doesn’t cover
