Welcome to the world of Creature Comforts! These animated British TV series are based on the original Oscar-winning film by Nick Park and draws on early 'lip-synch' work by Aardman's founders Peter Lord and David Sproxton. Using 'man on the street' interviews with people from all walks of life, Aardman pair the voices with animals who appear to be talking about their own situations.
The claymation characters portray very human traits and contemplate absurdities of the universe such as, "Do bald eagles ever feel self-conscious?" and "What makes pigs feel sexy?"
ALL of the creativity coming from Aardman is Genius!!! I can watch for days and weeks on end!...combination of kid friendly entertainment and adult comedy!
I thought it was an interesting choice to have the penguins be the animals that one says he’s part of a mixed family with his mate when they’re the animals that mate for life
It's absolutely incredible how much character and life they brought to these animals with just voice acting and very limited animation. Some of my favourite animation work ever.
Absolutely my favorite devlog/youtube series I look forward to watching period; cant wait to see the rest of your ever-interesting and evolving vision come to fruition.
I'm currently an animation student and I absolutely ADORE these. Real, unscripted interviews give the animators the opportunity to add so much personality in their characters just by how they move while speaking. There's so much detail that goes into not just the lip-sync of the words, but the gestures, the head tilting, every little movement is just spot on. I'm not surprised my 2-D animation professor showed us a clip of the zoo one when we were practicing lip-sync, this has to be one of the best examples for it. Also it's just so clever?? I love it, so glad I was introduced to this!
The monkeys are my favourite lmao The way the first one is talking about why he doesn't like injections in his mouth and then the second one immediately cuts in with "I LOVE INJECTIONS IN MY MOUTH" and then just Kubrick stares into the camera
The bats 🤣🤣🤣 (cameraman: you know what speed cameras are?) heating (?) sorry? Nope, don't get it!! (Do you know what speed cameras are?) Cucumbers? (Do you know what speed cameras are?) Bee's honey?? Nope!! Don't get it!!
I watch these when I'm not looking forward to work, it completely cheers me up and I commence work whilst wiping the tears from my eyes. I love it, Nick Park is a British treasure 👍🏻
