Hi. During the video you have opened some new modules/fields, it opened on new page and quite a few times I noticed around 30 seconds period of time to get the info. Is that the the normal speed for such time of tasks? How system would work for a big data reports to run?
I am assisting a customer with their migration to Acumatica. I wrote a program that exports monthly net change journal entries from QuickBooks Desktop. One upload file, but each J/E is differentiated by a monthly date and Ref# and nets to zero. In your video, it appears that the posting date is not a part of the upload. Is there another method for posting multiple months at the same time? Or will they need to talk to the migration team? Thanks!
It will merge the accounts together, under the “To” customer and it’s National Account. The original Customer will be gone and the National account will not show the customer as being part of it anymore, and all the transactions are in the To customer under the other national account. I would suggest you test it and verify everything works correctly, and make a backup before doing it live. However, if you are saying you want to merge customer to one National account and not merge customers then I am thinking that you could create a new account that mimics the account you want the two children to ultimately be. Merge the two children into the new account. To know for sure, CAL Business Solutions can provide Dynamics GP support, contact support@calszone.com
What about deleting shortcuts? I know you can delete them one at a time, but some modified processes create shortcuts. How do you delete many at the same time?
Hi Erik, I am the person that put together the tip! I am not sure what processes you are doing that create shortcuts. As far as deleting shortcuts, you would need to delete one at a time. However, I tested a workaround. 1. Create a Folder by right-clicking in the Navigation Pane. Right click one of the shortcuts you want to delete, Cut>>Paste into the folder. Drag and Drop the rest of the shortcuts into the expanded folder....DELETE the folder. All shortcuts in the folder will be deleted.
Very good. The end user will be happy with this. It's part of a modified process. I don't use it myself, so I'm not sure at what point they create or it's created for them. Your solution sounds good. I created a SQL query to do it for them, but..... /****** Script for Removing Shortcuts En Masse ******/ SELECT [ScbOwnerID] ,[ScbDisplayName] ,[ScbShortcutKey] ,[ScbTargetStringOne] ,[ScbTargetLongOne] ,[ScbTargetLongTwo] ,[DEX_ROW_ID] FROM [DYNAMICS].[dbo].[SY01990] where ScbOwnerID = 'UserID' Delete from SY01990 where DEX_ROW_ID= '[for each needing to be removed]' ...I appreciate the simplification.
