Hi, I'm Bagels/Byran! I'm a guy who makes videos sometimes, mainly games that involve a significant amount of reading or Vast Error-related stuff. Also I go by any pronouns, hee hoo
Currently busy with university so uploads will likely be slow.
To do genocide, you need to move around in every single area to get encounters, remember to kill every monster there until an "X" appears over your head after the "!"
@@KennyBloxin Thing is I didn't really have to walk about much in this game, at least compared to Undertale... and looking back at this footage I'm pretty sure I was a single encounter away from genociding the area 💀
One of the things I love about the neutral route compared to Undertale's is that it is different depending on when you choose to abort pacifist. Aborting it before the Steamworks results in a drastically different time in the Steamworks than doing it IN the Steamworks
I'm starting to feel like the Axis Geno fight is a subtle version of the Metatpn Neo fight. The Flowey fight reminds me of this one Chara fight fangame/video where they toss the dust of the fallen to use their attacks, reminding you who you killed.
I both love and hate it since it's simultaenously funny seeing Calder dramatically fail to be subtle and depressing to see Arcjec fail to reach out to him. And from what we've already seen, we know that the two of them were close friends, Calder valuing him in particular. Arcjec cutting everyone off, Calder included, probably contributed to his downward spiral into what he is now. I think if Arcjec hadn't cut him off, he might've been able to help Calder through his other tribulations, but it's clearly too late for him...
@@verity_amoI honestly want him to change but I know it won’t happen but I am interested were he going to to go but what interest me the most about is with his friendship with arcjec just the way he talks in the conversation shows that not only they were close it shows that they were best friends but I really want to more on what went on with the 2
Thanks for your reactions as always, Bagels, it’s lovely to hear someone hum and haw over all the juicy details. It was also a pleasure to work together with Rom to bring the credits to life, and reactions like yours make it all the more rewarding. Here’s to the future of Vast Error! Thank you again.
that blood really do be snowbound. Alienoid here! Thank you so much for your commentary and enthusiasm! It's heartwarming as hell to see someone so on top of the lore and catching all the sneakret little tidbits, but it's even more heartwarming to see someone just straight up enthralled with what we've made. As sadistic as it sounds, seeing you torn up at the end of Vol 12 was one of the more vivid memories I have of this whole SBB experience (sorry though lmao).
No, thank *you* all for making this thing! It's honestly been such a fun ride following and subsequently becoming way too attached to all these characters over the years and how much SBB and Vast Error in general have partially taken over my life (I can literally recite most of Bytcon's dialogue from his volume??? For some reason???) Also nice to ponder on how much more emotionally shattered I'll become in the final portions of the comic itself... Thanks for stopping by! I'm looking forward to what the future of Vast Error has to offer!
This took a while to come out because I'm a busy guy and also my internet is ass. But eh, that's what happens when you share a house with five drama students. (spoilers below) In retrospect, I do think I could have legitimately beat Zenith Martlet if I persisted long enough, but I'd honestly just ran out of patience before that point. Sans' attacks are easy to learn, despite what the internet says, but Martlet's require such tight control apropos to dashing in the right direction that it just got really frustrating. I know, I know, Bagels is a giant pissbaby... but also, I just don't think it would've been fun to watch me be bad at the game either, so I decided yeah screw this I just need to get the damn video out. Anyway, hope you had/have fun, suggest any other Undertale fangames for me to play or something.
I understand running out of patience, its a pretty hard fight. But its super easy when you just break it down, learn how to dodge each attack and you're literally good. There are patterns, different ways to dodge each attack. Dashing is only required for some attacks and make dodging other attacks easier or harder. Thinking you have to dash to dodge attacks is probably why it was so hard for you, dashing at the right time is hard but just moving right is way easier. Watch a speedrunner do the fight and you'll really learn the strats.
@yelloq6666 I'm considering doing a stream where I actually try to beat it legit. I watched a no-hit run and I realised then that I probably wasn't dodging attacks properly.
@verity_amo also i dont know if you know this but all the little enemies you fought during the flowey fight only showed up because you killed them and it is a small secret that you got the ceroba one as it only happens on a failed genocide
@EnderStine oh yeah I know basically everything about the game now lol I found it weird that Starlo never showed up but I realises it was because I didn't kill him in an actual battle
I cant be the only one that when 'Martlet' said "I F O U N D Y O U", imagined it being said in that old computer SAM voice. If you don't know, it's the text to speech voice used in Faith the Unholy Trinity.
Really appreciating getting to binge these videos! I’ve read VE a few times but I’m much more an audio then visual learner- especially glad to hear someone read out Murrit bc she was definitely a TERROR for my dyslexic ass to read LMAOO
Thanks for watching! And yeah I get that, characters like Dismas and especially Murrit are an absolute nightmare to read. Even though I've learned how to read them more easily over the years I still trip up constantly 💀
