Hello resellers and collector nerds! I'm on a journey to teach you about cool stuff that you might be able to pick up for yourself, a collector in your life, or maybe to resell. I resell primarily on Ebay.
I would love to hear what you are buying and selling. So please share with me and the community. I am a junkie for watching others resell videos too. I hope you enjoy my videos.
Buckle up and join me in the adventure.
P.S. Why the NSTW logo? Well if you know, you know. ;)
Listen here sir! Your comment! I couldn't be happier with your comment :P Not a jerk, you're helping me learn. Exactly what I was asking for. I appreciate it. I figured it was a safe bet $20 for the lot. The guy even gave me the plastic tub. Lolz! I figured that was worth $1-3 on its own.
@@jlohmann13 thanks. I might have to chalk this up as a lesson learned. But I was hoping first for a few records id listen to. The smiths one is cool. So net net. A lesson a few records to keep, and some to flip. This one worked out. But I do need to be careful next time I come across a stack.
@@jlohmann13 it's like you dared me. I met a guy today with 600+ records. I wanted to offer to buy the lot. But I don't think there is much of value. All pop 1970-80s. Maybe a couple $50 records. But most $1-3. You tempted me to touch fire again. Jinxed me. 🤣🤣🤣
Goodwill is SO expensive now. And they have put local thrift stores out of business. I've seen t-shirts from Target at Goodwill selling for the same price or close to what Target sells them for. I boycott them now and hope others will do the same. Support local businesses, including thrift stores.
Maybe we're seeing the beginnings of a business model that no longer can sustain itself. At least where I live, in california. Rent is so expensive. I'll give them that if they are squeezed by rent, and even getting free inventory. That it isn't viable. Sadly, the stores will just disappear. Or only survive in lower cost communities. Time will tell.
When I worked at Goodwill they told us to scrape off any existing price stickers and to always do at most 1/3 of the original price if it's newer. If you see an original price sticker on it and the goodwill sticker is higher, many stores have a policy where you can ask them to reprice it to get a much fairer price. At least, where I worked that was our policy.
Another thing is that if it's a person pricing them, usually it's subjective. Most likely this was someone slapping a sticker on to get a higher average price and trying to make rate and for whatever neglectful reason they didn't see the front. However this is the job of the supervisors to make sure everything that goes out is reasonably priced so they obviously weren't doing their job.
I'm still new to reselling "professionally" versus adhoc over the years. I've only been going to thrift stores past year or two. I guess we shouldn't classify goodwill as a thrift store any longer.
I swear. You can't make this up. P.s. if you need shipping supplies. Check out my Amazon affiliate links in the description. Wishing everyone many sales in the week ahead.
So my answer to your question might come from left field if you don’t know me already but I’ve shared it openly because it’s part of who I am. I have been on eBay for over 10 years only selling things here and there. A little over a year ago I was in a bad car accident and was out of work for awhile. Started selling things online for some income. After healing a bit I returned to my previous job. And they treated me terribly. I already have anxiety and depression and it started to push me over the edge and I was constantly contemplating suicide. I realized that reselling even though not as much money was more relaxing and rewarding. So I quit my job and dived in full time. And it’s still a struggle. Then a wonderful friend of mine convinced me to start making content and I become more known in this lower end of content creators. And making friends which is something I struggle with irl. But it gives me a place of community and a more positive outlet. And that’s why I always like to show some kind of support within the community especially to any of us who are still new. ❤
You have a true heros journey. Stay strong! This is really heartwarming and glad you are finding community. It is important. And even if your interests change in future. You can hopefully continue finding friends and support in new ventures. You've done it before. Thanks for sharing. I just came across your channel and will catch-up. I am hooked on vlogs. Continue on!
facts! have you found any good deals though? I did find a sealed vintage board game for $5 that may sell for $50. We'll see how long till it sells. Though, if I made 3 trips to thrift store and got one thing. I can't say a $30-40 profit is worth while.
Wow One piece popped off. These decks are now about $40 each and going up daily. One Piece might one day replace Pokemon. I've never seen the Netflix live action but I might need to check it out.
Have you had any holiday items sell this week? Time to get all your holiday stuff posted. valentine's day, super bowl, st. patricks, easter. Did I miss any other big holidays?
Three tips #1: Use quotes: Search for "exact phrases" to avoid irrelevant results. #2: Exclude words: Use the "-" symbol to exclude unwanted words from your search. #3: Get specific: Use detailed keywords to find rare or unique items.
For real I've been striking out at savers. To the point where I'm not sure why I go anymore. Keep the tips coming though it helps you mix up my thought process and approach.
That means the video doesn’t get made. 😂 What a terribly uninteresting video. So glad you explained that it could be interesting if you actually did the interesting stuff.
Thanks for feedback. Which part? The wrapping all together? What are the negatives? What would you recommend I try different? I'm definitely experimenting and trying to improve.
honestly it's like duct tape. I find a million different reasons. It's good to have on hand for me.I wrap things that might pop open or get extra scratches. I usually use this on books. Or anything I want to "bind" together. Like stack of cards or something. Then I drop in a polymailer. I might wrap records as well. Or instead of taping cardboard together. I might sandwich some cardboard around a record and then Saran wrap that.
How is your sourcing going at Savers or Goodwill these days? I've been to my locals and even a GW bins twice. Haven't bought anything. It wasn't worth the effort for a $2-5 return. After cleaning, storing, packing, labor, time. 😅 I think I need to look into better sourcing. And I'm in a metropolitan area.
I was actually wondering the same thing. I don't have a background with drums. My local music shop all had floor toms of their kits. But guy at local music store said you don't really need it. 🤷♂️
So I went back and looked. I have a snare, an 8", 10" and 12" tom and a 14"x12" tom? I'm thinking the 14" while not a traditional floor tom is the floor tom? If that makes any sense. There was an extra stand with a 3 way clamp thing. Any thoughts? Setting up a drum kit without any experience wasnt easy. 😅
You can add a tom arm to the cymbal stand and use the 14" tom as a hanging rack tom.. If you bring the mounted toms closer together on top of the bass drum it's easier to play as well :) Nice score regardless!!
@@nerdsreselling I have the exact same drumset in black it’s a 1990s Pearl export pro, the 8 and 10” toms are an expansion kit that I also have. The clamp was for a stand that can also be added to a cymbal stand you can add the Tom to one.
