I love having kids! I have a toddler and an infant and want to share my experiences, preferences and lessons learned here on RU-vid. Hopefully the information is helpful to other families!

A 2011 study found Epiceram to be no more effective than 2 OTC products Aquaphor and Atopiclair at treating AD. So why is this stuff prescription and more importantly why is it so expensive?
🤷♀️ I’m not a doctor. Just a mom sharing my experiences. Our doctor was able to proscribe it through an online pharmacy called BlinkRX which helped save on the price.
I usually go up to 6. One key to getting good vacuum is to have a good pumping bra that keeps it in firm contact with your body. I use the simple wishes bra which looks a bit intense but is seriously amazing.
It totally changed our life! We use it for our 3 year old. I did try it on my own skin just to see and I like that it isn’t greasy like some creams. I hope it works for you!
We apply it twice per day in the winter and once per day in the summer. The package says that there can be a tingling sensation for the first 10-15 minutes after application. I did not feel this when I tried it and our child has never complained of it but wanted to throw that out there. That is the only potential side effect I see listed in the product information. Good luck! 🤞
Thank you so much for posting this video it has helped me understand that Blink rx is legit and not a scam because I have had this skin problem for 5 years and I was tired of sleepless nights of itching and I got to the point where I had to seek help so I was referred to a dermatologist and I was diagnosed with Atopic dermatitis / ( eczema ) my visit was yesterday I was given a depunix shot and two creams and one steroid antibiotic topical ointment I was given a prescription for epiceram 225mg cream I was told that blink rx was gonna call me with in a day so today i talked with them found out my insurance doesn't cover it but they said no worries we have a coupon bringing the total down to $45.00 anyhow I said I'll call back tomorrow on my payday to go forward with the purchase honestly I just wanted to buy me time to research pharmacy the female did say ok before we hang I want you to know that this prescription is always pretty much not covered by insurance plans its original price is very expensive the total is $ 6,554 dollars I've heard from a couple people it really does help clear up eczema tomorrow I'll call back to purchase the epiceram 225mg skin barrier cream lotion cream I never had prescriptions that cost so much the shot I was given at the office cost $3,000 plus dollars and now this epiceram I'll pay only $45.00 through blink rx original costs $7,000 or just about man must be some good medications ,I pray it clears up my Atopic dermatitis,/ ( eczema ) well again I thank you for your video I pray that it's still helping your baby out and I pray it helps me out as well ,God Bless 🙏🏽❤
Great question! Turn the pump on and then press and hold the P button for a couple seconds. This will start the program! You know it is doing the pre-recorded program if there is a little flashing P on the screen. ☺️ did that help?
It doesn’t look like there is a way to record a program that is longer than 30 minutes. As you said, it turns off at 30 so that isn’t an option with this pump. Are you pumping both sides simultaneously or one side at a time? You might be able to reduce your pump time with a good quality pumping bra. You need one that keeps good contact between the pump and your body. I use the simple wishes bra (bought it on Amazon) which looks a bit intense but is seriously amazing. I’ve tried a few other types and they just didn’t work as well. The simple wishes bra got me more milk in less time and was well worth the money. I hope that helps!
Thank you for making this video. I was seeing other moms’ posts about their programs and getting overwhelmed, but now having heard you walk us through this I feel more comfortable. I think I can do it! lol
It can be really overwhelming! My experience was that I got similar amounts no matter what I did so my goal with trying different settings was to be comfortable and decrease the time if I could. At some point I accepted that it takes me ~20 minutes to finish a session. I’ve tried a lot of different pumps and a lot of different settings and for me it came down to comfort and convenience because time and quantity was the same across the board. Good luck momma! You got this!
I use a steam sterilizer and put all the pieces (except for the grey part that has the motor and the buttons- this will be ruined by the steam and also never comes into contact with milk so doesn’t need sterilizing). I use a Phillips brand reusable sterilizer that goes in the microwave.
I tried this 4x and it wouldn't work. Finally checked the pumpables website for tutorial. Do NOT press pause as this video suggests at the end. Simply press the P button and then turn it off.
You are welcome! We still use this and we are closing in on 18 months of no topical steroid. I really do think it is a quality product and am so happy our doctor prescribed it to us.
Yes it does work my dermatologist prescribed it to me coz of psoriasis and it does help for inflammation and itchiness and after using a lot of heavy medications this is the one that helps me and I also got it from Blinkrx on line and it needs to be prescribed by a doctor
This is amazing. I wish there were more videos that tested leakage. I’ve heard most people say that you should squat to pick things up but my concern is leaning over while cleaning. Like leaning into the washer or the bathtub or a bin of clothes. This video is super helpful to gauge how far you can lean over.
Thank you for reviewing this pump. I’m really leaning towards this one after watching your video. You mentioned that you could work around the house with it. My biggest question is, could you bend over and pick things up off the ground without it leaking? It’s really hard to find out if a pump has this quality. Leaking is not normally mentioned in reviews except for the Willow. But I can’t exactly pay $500 for a pump. Thanks!
Hi! The short answer is: if it is full enough and you bend far enough it will leak. I made a video for you so you can see all the details/how far it has to be tipped in action: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-akUOMARyAlI.html Let me know if that answers your questions - I'm happy to make another video if you need to see more details!
Have you tried any silicone collection cups with this breast pump? I was looking at legendairy milk collection cups, but I can’t find any online to actually say they’re compatible.
It is a passive breast pump for breastfeeding mommas. I have a video explaining more about this product here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Su1QF2YoVUc.html
