First person here..Mmm..sounds kinda echoey..hello..o..o..o..o. I very much like this, iterative and evolving, fascinating calming and cryptic. I remember trying to to read Beelzebubs tales to his grandson when I was in my early twenties(in the early nineteen eighties) it was a bit beyond me then and too long. I make electronic music for a hobby now, perhaps I’ll try to match this film to some of my stuff (just for my own interest). Thank you for posting this Jivan. Hello from England 5.15 am Thursday 25 may 2023.
Wow! So complex! And I’d swear I feel that energy coming through coming through despite use of an electronic screen and passage of time since the performance.
They are neither; they are not 4th Way workers, and they are certainly not professional dancers; they are simply long-time meditators who are interested in Gurdjieff Movements - as am I, their teacher
@@JivanSunder are you sure? it is a very very beautiful mouvement but I never saw it in the Gurdjieff foundations classes any where. ..Very beautiful indeed.
@@ayalaprajs5123 Well, I have the notes for the Movement in a set of notes which may originally come from Wim van Dulleman, I don't really know.....; anyway, this Movement certainly comes from a Gurdjieff lineage - there's at least one other Movement in that set of notes, which people have also questioned whether it is originally from Gurdjieff - it is called in that set of notes, 'The Moving Ho Ya', - it's done to the same music as Ho Ya, but is a totally different Movement! I guess there are several Movements which are not originally created by Gurdjieff, but which are practised these days as 'Gurdjieff Movements'. Of course, Assyrian Women Mourners is another one whose origin is 'suspect', in the sense that it is not thought to be an actual Movement created by Gurdjieff - yet it is practised by many groups the world over.
I think I worked with you in Corfu in 2004. Good to know you are still alive. Just working to pay off my house and retire some day. Bought a house in Idaho where my wife is. Hoping to move there early next year. Took up the Bass Guitar and am getting better. Hope to see you some day.
Yes! Finally, after 20 years I can see this performance, and I remember the experience. And oh, miracle now for almost 20 years later, we will perform it again in front of another audience in another hall. How lucky we are ! Thank you Jivan and Prem!
Until this year, for several years, I worked all over China for around 6 months each year, and I have one time did a Gurdjieff Movements Workshop in Shanghai in May 2019. Once COVID is over I hope to continue working in China
@@JivanSunder please contact me tbrouillard@hotmail.com, I can promote your next event in Shanghai/China. I am a close friend of Marco Bendoni (Amyo group) if you know
Hi Thomas, just by accident I came across your comment from a long time ago! But if you read this, I'll be doing a 5-day Gurdjieff Movements workshop in Shanghai this August; get in touch if you are interested
