I have personally tried to change my mind set when it comes to Eomm in cod. Instead of constantly complaining about it or letting it get to my head I try to find ways to work around it. Playing with friends or even playing without crossplay. Or if I have a really bad match, I try to use that match as a motivation to do better on the next one. I’ve found im that changing my mindset has let me enjoy cod a lot more recently
Unfortunately the skill based damage or hotboxes have hit my normie friends and they believe everyone in ranked is hacking I don't know if there's anything to convince them
No, there are only a few things you need to understand to improve in fps: Dont play during off hours. Don't blame your teammates and accept that everyone who has ever climbed in ladder has had to carry games. Perfect your mechanics. Lastly, start to specialize with weapons/heroes that you're good at, which goes double in Platinum which is the proving grounds in every game
You bring up some very good points. I notice how often I let my ego get to me when I play newer cods. Honestly I haven’t grown that much skill wise since probably BO2. 😂
@@Clyde-6 I guess? I personally don’t see it that way for online PvP games. Getting better, in my mind, should be a byproduct of simply playing the game for fun. Prioritizing getting better over having fun and playing the game casually doesn’t sit well with me. I would argue that this sort of mentality is what led to the sweats that we see today and SBMM/EOMM funnels them directly into my lobbies.

Even CDL Pros have discussed how cod is 90% mental & 10% gun skill. “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over & over & expecting a different result” - Einstein. repetition alone doesn’t change anything it’s only upon reflection that you can grow. Cod aside self awareness is crucial to maturity.
As a high skilled player, my tips are relatively simple. -Don't be afraid to use 'bullshit' tactics, its not camping if its playing the objective. -Remember to use your stuns and flashes before running into a room you're not sure about -Keep an eye on your mini map, if you don't know where the enemy are there is a good chance they will be where your team isn't. -Experiment with your weapon loadouts, you might find something that works for you that doesn't work for someone else. -If you're losing in a match and you don't think you'll be able to turn it around, instead create a smaller goal for yourself like trying to go positive or to hold a particular objective. -Sometimes its better to just slow down, breathe, and your team mate go in first and let him get killed so you can kill that enemy in the corner.

Literally the only fix I can see happening is not changing the character you are when using it. The point of a sleeper agent is to just appear friendly not actually look like your teammate. That in general was too much and doing just the name alone was all it needed. The voice chat with the enemy is nice and helps with the facade. The only other thing I can think of is it should open up friendly fire so it helps people be more convincing while used but you get negative points for doing so. It'll add to the confusion and make it more tactical to use.
gotta love how the game goes out of its way to specifically search for 5 bots to put in your team to go against a full stack of tryhards fully expecting you to carry them and then as soon as you get into a streak it completly ignores everyones positioning and the matches objective to revenge spawn enemies around you, after a while you get used to turn around and prefire when you are on a streak and know the revenge spawn is coming finally getting some satisfaction predicting the horrible spawns getting your streaks and then the next game you get shadowbanned bc the entire 6 stack spam reported you in the menu. 10/10 would buy again.
Yeah, the moment they mentioned this upgrade I knew it would be a problem. It doesn't matter if they find a way to balance it. The issue is not about being "too powerful" (although that's also a problem). The core issue is that it will never, ever not be completely infuriating to die to someone who looks like they're on your team. Just a really dumb thing to include

Literally just pay attention. I don’t think this is as much of a problem as people think it is. The game yells at you twice saying there’s a sleeper agent.
This is literally my solo experience 95% of the time. I get teammates who are afraid to move allowing the other team to have full map control. And the worst part is I know that the other team is dog shit mine is just worse
“The Modern CoD matchmaking isn’t bad skill issue” Modern CoD matchmaking: But seriously, there’s a reason why I don’t like or play most newer CoDs (aside from my issues with how they play of course). Nowadays I’m either playing older online games with good matchmaking like Battlefield 4 and Black Ops 1 or single player games like Dark Souls and Borderlands 2. Also, the “skill issue” argument is completely BS in two ways. 1: you didn’t have to be good at older CoDs to have fun and 2: getting better would literally make the matchmaking experience worse. You’ll get thrown against higher skilled players than you and get worse ping and search times.
your teammates are just me when i tried to play on console through gamepass, because it was using my acti account stats i built up from playing MWII on PC. so i'm fumbling with a controller after years of barely using it while everyone slides circles around me
I love the pistol idea - the comparison to the TF2 spy is super accurate, and in that game, Spy is balanced by having relatively some of the weakest weapons available, requiring stealth and finesse to blend in. It’d be crazy for Spy to have access to a rocket launcher or a minigun in a disguised state
Worse part is that you did REALLY good, the enemy team did rather bad. But just because your team was eating clown ass through a straw it cost you the game!
I think it’s fine I tried it and it was super fun and when u shoot it exposes you so you have to run a knife or suppresser. It’s just fun we don’t need to ruin everything fun that comes to CoD
Sleeper agent is just never going to be properly balanced, the devs even admitted that they were too stupid to think about how this will destroy hardcore lol. It’s a gimmick as it is and an incredibly frustrating one to die to.
I feel the pistol idea would work well on core to make the perk just a gimmick. It wouldn't work too well on hardcore given all of the things hardcore takes away from you, along with pistols being the best weapons in hardcore. I'd almost say ban it from hardcore if possible.
