I said that I would drop this in the comments. To the question, "If a specific symptom of depression or grievance is taking a toll on ones mind over the other symptoms how do you over come this aspect from a medical and spiritual standpoint?" I would say that it is important to address whatever symptom that is taking a toll on ones mind, whether thoughts, emotions, behavior, or a combination. I mentioned different types of therapy. For addressing problematic thoughts - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. For working through powerful emotions - Emotion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy. For behavior - Behavioral therapy is effective. Lastly, if you are caught up in routines or unhealthy relational patterns - a therapist specializing in Psychodynamic Therapy or any humanistic therapy (client centered, narrative therapy, etc.) may be helpful. Essentially, there are different ways to address the symptoms of depression or grievance and some work better for different individuals. I hope this helps =)
Thank you for uploading the prayer vigil :) Such a beautiful moment to see the body of Christ lamenting, interceding, and crying out to God for justice and reconciliation. I hope that this will not be a one time thing but that we will continue to pray fervently.
