@@davegiddings5250 Yes, I think it's a good choice, haven't seen a bad report on them yet. Never owned a Triumph before, plenty of other bikes though. Got an Indian Super Chief as well. Looking forward to touring in the Summer with my son. I'm in NZ by the way.
Made one of these myself! I was looking for a solution to put my phone in that position, as having the phone on the left side of the handle bar gave me a weird sense that the bars were off or bent🙃. I ended up using Aluminium plate, because with limited tools I found it easier to work with. Great idea, works and looks a treat! Keep the video's coming.👍
Hi, good looking Tbird with sensible mods, how do you find the ground clearance with the lower shocks as its easy to grind the pegs with the std height? are you running a 55 series rear tyre to compensate? also hows the damping and spring rates if they're Bonni shocks? I would have thought with the extra weight of the TBird they'd be a bit light on? The factory shocks on my '10 do lack damping so im looking for a change. Would love a comparison video on your two Triumphs sometime? however I should imagine the big fella would be hard to beat...
G'day mate, yes I have 55 series tyre on the rear. Ground clearance is OK but you can still drag the pegs. A comparison video on the 2 is a good idea but, they are cheese and chalk.😉 if ya know what I mean. 👌
I put 60K miles on a 2010 Thunderbird 1600. I loved it. I traded it in on a new Speedmaster as my riding needs have changed. If i could have afforded it I would have kept it and had two bikes.
I'll tell you what I think, really like your bike and it's down to the Triumph -vs- HD's hot rod 121 with a twist, not interested in the ridicules infotainment, cup holders, training wheels, experience, your soundtrack is all I need, decision's decision's
I’m thinking of getting this bike after I move to my full license. At the moment I’m on a sports bike . What is your opinion after you have had this bike for awhile .
What a really nice job you have done looks like they have come from the factory I hope you do not mind but I will be doing the same and make some I'm sure they will sell.
My 2023 Rocket 3 GT popped a delamination hole in the front Avon tire at 375 miles. Triumph (manufacturer) said it's not warrantied by them, and I have to contact the tire manufacturer. My dealer is great in trying to help me, but Triumph is scandalous for hiding in warranty fine print, and passing the buck after I dumped over 20k in the bike. What other warranty issues are they going to duck? You've been warned.
