Thank you! We just swapped these for a client and one of them was bad out of the box, the left most fader was knocked out of alignment. The customer is getting 2 "Internal Errors" on boot up, any ideas?
Incorrect description at 6:60 of how the sensitivity-setting works. It is not adjusting the volume sent from the receiver to the mixing console, but about adjusting how sensitive the transmitter is to the signal sent from the microphone. Especially when you get into bow, lapel-microphones or instruments connected to body-packs the strength of the signal from the microphone may vary a lot with the type of microphone and the strength of the users voice or instrument used. Too sensitive input on the transmitter may cause distortion when the audio is encoded for wireless transmission, distortion that will carry on to the mixing console. If you hear distortion in a wireless signal, turn down the sensitivity on the transmitter and increase gain for the channel on the console to compensate for the reduced audio-level.
Thank you very much for this video, just in case I might have to do this! We have a brand new Avantis just out of the box never used and we have channels flickering and highlighting themselves on the left and right banks as you touch one, they kind of start doing a cascade of highlighting and flickering, eventually they will do it on there own without touching them. We’ve done reboots, fader calibrations, and upgraded firmware from 1.25 to 1.30. I’ve got a call into A&H and our supplier Sweetwater. I’m hoping we don’t have to open the hood being that it is BRAND NEW. Interestingly enough, I’ve had to pop the hood several times on our older Allen & Heath I-Live, so I get what you are saying on those T-7s. Crossing our fingers….
Good work! Is the channel preset library working? it seems this most basic feature is missing? I simply would like to, like the M32, and any other mixer for that matter, be able to grab an empty channel, go to my library of presets, and select, "Frank's Active Bass", or "Choir Mic" or "Stan's Vocal", "Aretha Franklin Vox", etc.... As a church we have different singers and musicians every week. In our second Campus (Midas M32) we pull up the channel presets for those singing that week that we had already processed and saved from weeks ago, and boom... We are 99% done. At our new Campus, we purchased the HD96, and every week it's like we have to start from scratch.... Why Midas? Am I missing something? If you know the answer to this riddle, please help!
@@rmaletick Show files and scenes work great. However, that does not provide you with channel presets from a library. We have over a 2 dozen musicians, and it is never the same musicians playing each week. We could have the same drummer, and bass player, and lead worship, and have 3-4 different bgvs. loading a show file, or scene, will not solve this issue. If I load a scene from 4 weeks ago, that only had 2 bgvs, and this week I have 5 bgvs, its not going to work. Also, If I want a specific persons vocal, loading a scene file, is also not the answer, as it would change the rest of the channel presets once I load that scene. the M32 has a Library of sounds, you can apply to any channel regardless of your show file/scene.
@@isaacrojas3698 I understand. The solution is to teach the folks how to mix. Or hire a full time engineer that mixes every Sunday. Sorry, I just hate presets and feel that it’s dumbing down our industry tremendously. If someone wants to volunteer to mix audio they should be willing to put the time in to learn how. If they can’t or aren’t willing they should volunteer in another position.
@@rmaletick Rob, No need to apologize for your opinion or feelings. However, My question is not an opinion, or based on any subjective emotions or philosophical methodologies on how to approach mixing. It's simply that almost every (I would even dare to say, every, except I will admit I have not used every board out there) modern digital console has the ability to save channel presets in a library, and able to import/export to that library. This has become a basic functionality in modern boards. Your comment seems to want to play devil's advocate as to why or why not midas heritage possibly doesn't have this feature, but then I'd have to counter your argument by asking, why would they exclude such a basic feature and spend so much money on R&D to develop their new Ai function that is supposed to "guess" what kind of instrument or vocal you are inputting, and automatically eq and compress according to what it thinks you inserted....(this only nomally works by the way, and seems like a backwards way to develop if you are only wanting "PRO" users to buy your board. (This is why I don't like posting my opinions on social media, it just leads to a rabbit hole... I'm just looking for an objective answer to an objective question). My question was simple and objective. From what I read on pages 217-218 in their manual it seems that there is a library functionality, but those features at this time are non-existent in the board, along with other things in the manual like MIDI control.... So again, I'm just asking if I am either missing something (maybe I'm looking in the wrong place) or if currently that feature (library channel presets) is absent from the Midas console. I wasn't looking for a lecture on hiring a better sound guy, or that I need to teach my folks how to mix. lol. Thanks for your comments.
@@isaacrojas3698 I used the preset just as you have isaac, different lead vocals with the same band. As each on come one just recall their preset mean your not upsetting the evolution of the mix.
i'm certain the midas pro desk just buffers the external clock because it's impossible to have lower jitter than the internal oscillator inside the desk
in the video i can see you are using mac book pro... plz hsare the link of the control space app for ios...thank you in anticipation one more thing.... I hvae got a bose ESP 00-II ....can i use it as monitor controller for dolby atmos 7.1.4???
Hi, If the signal enters in hdmi on the transmitter, can it be recovered in sdi on the receiver, and vice versa? On the receiver, the hdmi and sdi outputs can be used at the same time? When the Cosmo C1 is used in direct usb on the pc without a capture card, can the hdmi and sdi outputs be used at the same time as the usb capture to send signals to other peripherals? Thanks
Hello! Yes, you can use any I/O to pull the signal from the receiver regardless of what connection is being used on the transmitter. Regarding using the I/O simultaneously with USB capture, I'm not totally sure. We will get back to you on this.
The form factor of the new Cosmo seems like an affirmation of the 300, 300 Pro, 400 and 400s having more mounting options than the 400s Pro, especially on monitors with dummy NPF battery mounts like the Feelworld LUT7PRO.
Yes You can daisy Chain Antelope interfaces you can use the Madi connections to link Antelope interfaces - we use HDX ports and multiple Antelope interfaces with HDX ports and Madi connections
Great vid and also a great unit. One thing though. I’ve been in contact with Antelope regarding the daisy chaining of the Galaxy’s. In your vid you state you can identify units with the button in the software. That’s great, but Antelope are telling me that you can’t daisy chain the Galaxy’s. Is this true? If not, what is the use for identifying different units. Cheers
Hello! I have a few questions regarding the Matrix routing. I am looking at the 64. I want to use this unit to create headphone mixes via the 8 mixers (on board the 64 version of the Galaxy, I believe they now have 8 mixers in the Mix tab). For this question, I was wondering how you do this during tracking. From your line ins, can you send those line ins both to your daw (for recording the track) and at the same time to the mixer for headphone mixes? Or, can you only send the line ins to one place at a time. I am guessing since its a matrix routing system you can route the line ins to both your daw AND to the Galaxy mixers...is this correct? Also, when tracking, I am trying to figure out from the manual if it's possible to use the FX only for headphone mixes (and not commiting the FX to tape, only for headphone mixes) Again, would this be done as follows...line ins to FX and then to Mixer (for headphone mixes) and at the same time route a dry signal from line ins straight to Daw? Is that possbile? Basically, can you send the line ins to multiple places at one time? Thanks so much for any advice!
Hola Daniel, saludos desde Estados Unidos! Disculpe mi español, pero para responder a su pregunta, esta interfaz no incluye ningún preamplificador. Las entradas analógicas son solo de nivel de línea.
NICE VID, REALY HELPED ME OUT ON A GIG. I WAS WONDERING, DO I UPDATE THE AMPS AND GEARS FIRMWARES IN CONTROLS SPACE? OR DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD THEM SEPERATELEY?
