most likely chasing my next 5-star read or my toddler, lol
hiiiii, I'm Jess - a wife, mom, and small business owner who reads a lot! I'm the founder of the community-centered productivity company Hustle Sanely®, where I design planners, host The Hustle Sanely Podcast, and teach ambitious women how to live peacefully productive lives ✨
I mostly make bookish videos here :)
(and yes, I used to be in grad school for Speech-Language Pathology but I dropped out when my planner business took off back in 2019 - I still have some of those old SLP videos on my channel per your requests 🫶🏼)
Found your videos in my suggested and we have such similar taste. Just subscribed Just for the Summer was amazing and Funny Story is on my tbr this month.
Hey hey, I have gotten the chestnut springs series and heard you say you find it a bit crude, can you maybe explain what you mean by that? (trying to know if it is worth reading).
I think you should keep the cart as is. Stack up your new purchases and if you read all the books for the month, then you can add in a new book from the stack if you’re in the mood.
I feel the exact same about Emily Henry (Beach Read and Funny Story girlie)! I couldn’t figure out why some of her books fell so flat for me and your relatability explanation is so right! ❤
i keep seeing your videos pop-up in my suggested videos and might as well subscribe to u! so I did, just now! i loved your clear your cart videos!!! as soon as my pink bookcase starts to fill up, I'll get a book cart!!!
I think sticking to your original 60 makes sense in terms of the challenge but for buying new books, I think you can make it a little treat/reward for yourself. If you read 8-9 books that month then you can buy 1-2 new books that month for your 2025 TBR
I think that anything new you buy should be added to 2025 book cart that way you're not putting more pressure onto yourself for the year, and you still get to treat yourself!
Would DEF recommend to listen to the audio book of the hobbit it’s sooooo good!! Listen to the one narrated by Andy Serkis you will have a great time 🤞🏼
I like the idea of sticking with the original 60 but maybe any new books you add are like all together on a shelf of the cart (like the bottom) and the goal is to work like top down so if you finish the original 60 you "cleared the cart" but can keep going and getting a head start of next year's challenge Because let's be real, as book buyers and readers, we will never actually have a physical TBR of zero books. We will always have books waiting in the wings
I think you should try to not but any books and if you do buy books or get any as gifts you should add them to your 2025 TBR. When you complete the 2024 TBR, as a reward you should make a book shopping vlog or haul and create your 2025 TBR.
Just dropping by to tell you that I love your fun personality! Also, may you please add a comment about clean or spicy on your book reviews/recommendations? 😌
I love the Lakefront Billionairs, but i didn't love Dillia. I'm exited for Love Unwritten. Need more Raffie in my life we love grumpy father trope. You cheating on Julian?! *Gasp*
Okay I am loooooving these videos, Jess! They’re so fun!!! Also, I’m not a mom but I LOVED Ready or Not. 🥹 it was so darn sweet and one of the best books I read this year! So cute!!!
After I filmed this I was like WAIT I FORGOT HOW MUCH OF AN ANGEL SHEP WAS -- and for a split second, I thought I should change my answer to "newest crush" but I decided to stick with Miles 😂
you should keep all the books you've currently bought for 2024, and if you get GIFTED some books for your birthday/christmas then keep them for 2025, at the start of 2025 do a big book haul and redo this I think! book hauls are very popular.
I’ve been slowly getting into reading, you are one of the first book influencers that I’ve watched. I’m finishing Too late By Colleen Hoover today. It’s a good story it’s just not my personal favorite Colleen Hoover book. Once July starts I’m gonna choose 2-3 books so I can read the books I have so I can buy more
Just found your channel today and am so excited to follow you. I follow several booktubers and of the three videos of yours I watched I relate to you the most in life stage, interests, opinions and more. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Jess! I haven’t watched a video of yours in what feels like forever!!! I had no idea you became a mom and umm hello books books books! Just got into reading again! Soooo goooood
hiiiiiii! yes, living the mom life over here and honestly loving it! I'm so excited to be creating bookish content...it's such a fun hobby for me! Thank you for watching 🥲
@@jessmmassey make a small piece of art with Edgar Allan Poe on it and put the Poe and the 'Ston at the end. 🤣Or a post it on your cart "For the millionth time: It's Poe-ston, not Paw-ston" As I type this, it's like Bah-ston, Bow-ston. Oh, geeze, just see me out the door.
I can’t wait to read Funny story! Just for the summer is also my favorite sequel I’ve read so far this year. It’s so good! My favorite book that I’ve read so far this year is The Guncle by Steven Rowley, but I’m 70% of the way through Banyan Moon by Thao Thai, and I think that one might take the top spot when I finish it. What has been your biggest disappointment so far this year? Mine is divine rivals by Rebecca Ross.
Omg such a fun bookie video 📚😍 love it Jess! You're the cutest ever! I just started listening to Funny Story on audiobook on Libby while I breastfeed Teags right now 🎧🥰
@@jessmmassey I knowww I had a fantasy of reading my Kindle while nursing but it just hasn't worked out as well as I thought, so plugging one Airpod in to listen to an audiobook while just staring at her is the best 😍🥰
