Is it normal to imb with max throttle & rpm all the way to 4,000ft as seen? Do some reduce climb power to maybe 25MP/25RPM? Depending on density Altitude and minute settings might leave Manifold Pressure at Max but wouldn't you reduce RPMs to say 25? Cool video either way, great landing at minimums
My Favorite Plane of all Time... got to ride in one.. they are Great... that guy landing this one kind of botched it, I have seen a lot better landings, but he was also fighting a pretty heavy cross wind!
Soon the best virtual Duke that was ever made will soar through the skies - the Black Square Piston and Turbine Duke. What is this small air intake below the engines, an oil cooler?
Lady clearly doesn’t know how the differential braking via hand brake and pedals works. If she would also pull aft stick to unload the nose wheel a little more, it would castor easier.
So delicate on the throttle during the run up then slamming the throttle into the fire wall as hard as you could for takeoff had me laughing Super high rpm on enroute climb, engines seem expendable to PIC
@@MarcUlm I guess I should have included that I really liked how smooth you made your right turn to short final...a little high, and slowly smoothed in a slight side slip...and not too much...just smooged it in there ..lol. So, thats what I meant mate. The pretty much just past the numbers, where you should be. I am new, but hope you keep making video mate.
@@TheNucMed great feedback! That's what is needed out here and not all that criticism.. At RU-vid I'm not crazy active. Search my Instagram: pilot.marc I'm pretty active there with lots of new videos
My Father (Lawrence J Klein) flew the A-26 quite extensively. Here is his history for that time frame of his life: March 1952: Finished tour with the 53rd Troop Carrier Squadron and transferred to the 452nd. Bomb Group (L) A B-26 (Douglas) Night Intruder outfit at K-9 Airfield (Pusan East) Korea. On or about May 1952 the 452nd was deactivated and we were reactivated as the 17th Bomb Group (L) *Note: The “Douglas B-26 Invader” was re-designated “A-26” in 1956. Not to be confused with the Martin B-26 Marauder, used extensively in World War 2) March - September 1952: Flew 55 Night Intruder Missions. Awarded a couple of Air Medals and a D.F.C. (Distinguished Flying Cross) September - December 1952: Temporary duty to Miho AB Japan. Flew B-26 maintenance test flights.
Wonderful to read about your dad and his service. He must have had many incredible stories. Thank you for sharing. As a side note, I lost my dear dad just over a year ago and spend many hours pondering the amazing life he led too. Warm regards from Sydney - David
