Hey amigo..!!? Could you share the link where you bought the oil,, or the specification of it..????
@ryanbriggs5622
@ryanbriggs5622 Год назад
doing this will make ur fan spin faster when its cold therefor making it take long for ur car to get up to temp.. not sure if dumping more oil inside is the best idea, would nissan not have done so from factory if it was the best way to go? (also a heavy diesel mechanic here)

Why would it take longer for the block to get to temp, that’s what the thermostat is for. The radiator will take a bit longer maybe. Every vehicle has its flaws, and Nissans td42 is its cooling system.

This hub is overfull and this video is misinformation. Fill the center reservoir only, or the hub will be constantly engaged.

What the end result mate, is it off more than it’s on? I’m looking at doing mine because the fan is ALWAYS on and it’s doing my head in, I want it to be off and only come on when it’s needed but I’m not sure how much oil to put in. Thanks

I find it's more closer the 1-1 drive when kicked in. So spins faster and pulls more air. If yours is stuck on all the time, it may be a faulty thermo valve. And would need a whole new hub.

Defeats the purpose of a viscous hub fan. This will be locked in at low temps....... robbing you of HP, and the fan will be screaming on cold mornings and generally fully engaged when it doesn’t need to be. May as well delete the hub all together and run direct?

You put to much oil it will consumento much gas and your power will decrease. Bcoz ur cooling fan will always engage

This vid is a waste of time. Don’t need a fan upgrade let alone a fan at all. Hell, you don’t even need a water pump. Just bog it up and send it. I couldn’t even watch the whole vid, that’s how useless it was. Though I’m disappointed you still wasted 46 seconds of my life

G'day mate, How do you split these buggers? Ive removed the 4 bolts that hold the halves together but she seems well sealed. Ive been hitting it with a plastic mallet all the way around and on the flange but can't get it to move, ive already broken off a couple of fins.
@Crbrother2
@Crbrother2 7 лет назад
neonphaze Yeh they can be real buggers to split. try threading in 2 of the bolts on opposing sides a few threads then tap the heads of the bolts. Dont smack em too hard though. I split mine by grabbing it and twisting it like a big oreo. haha.
@TheBjornos

I just used a Stanley blade and gently slid in between halves, gentle pressure to let air in. Easy.
