"Track Geometry Car" and "Rail Analyser" is painted on the two coaches behind what looks like a baggage or tool car. The end coach "Track Geometry Car" has a very large glass observation window for viewing the track.
Liked the power captured! I saw you encountered 1067 (Reading Lines) before, it was the first heritage unit I ever saw. It was trailing on NS 279 back in November 2023 when I got it. Greetings from Tennessee.
Thanks for sharing..... I started my railroad career working for Conrail in 1991 here in New Jersey as a Carman. Watching this video brought back a lot of memories of how things looked back in the 90's on the railroad. Man has this industry changed since then. I just retired after a long rail career and I still appreciate how things were back then.
That was a Conrail Quality cleanup. Too bad Conrail didn't apply the quality in advance, thus possibly skipping the accident and the need to have a cleanup.
