you don"t give honest reviews! I have been to places you have been and most of your reviews are subpar at best. just be honest and do your viewers a service rather than a disservice!
I'm sorry, but you said 20 minute ride in the car??? They only deliver in Somerset, and Swansea. 10 mins or less in a car. You obviously never ordered delivery from there before. 20 minute ride is FALSE. DO BETTER. ALSO they do not charge a delivery charge right away like MANY other places do. What ever it cost i give the 15% it is. The food there is always fresh when my family and I order out. VERY reasonable pricing. it's hot and fresh veggies are crisp so is the crust on their pizza. The woman you're speaking about is "Mina" she is a very sweet woman that is oh so very nice to ANY child that comes thru the door. Also it is a gyro not a "HERO"
Hi, maybe some additional detail is needed to clarify. I live in N. Swansea right on the Rehoboth line, and to get to my house you must travel through Rehoboth (on a few streets.) I did ask for delivery, but once they saw where I lived, they said they didn't drive to/through Rehoboth. As for how to pronounce "gyro", in Greek the G is pronounced as an H, and it was your friend Mina who told us that is how to pronounce it. Thanks for watching.
Long boarding experience. Horrendous disembarkation. In Bad harbour And Boston. Little staff direction during, grid lock at the elevators and stairs. Makes you worry about how horrific it would be if there were a true emergency. It was like herding cattle. Now they send mailings to my address but someone else's name entirely. Stupid.
When they bring out that dessert tray,it’s hard to pick just one thing isn’t it? The mud mug looks really good, I think I’ll try it next time that we go there.
I’ve been several times over the years. I find many of their meals to be mediocre these days but the desserts are still top notch. We will always bring our desserts home for later or the next day, unless we box the meals instead. Gregg’s reminds me of a local version of the Cheesecake Factory.
Hello Duane and Nidia, I grew up in Fall River, and when I came upon your videos, it brought me back to all the great food from the diverse cultures. Portuguese food does not get enough credit, so it was a delight seeing the both of you highlighting this delicious food. I reside in Maine, but being retired from the Navy, I have had the opportunity to work and travel and have tasted some great dishes that have left great memories. A big thanks for your videos. Have a great trip.
How awesome! We completely agree, Portuguese food is amazing and for some reason (outside of a few areas) under rated. Try some of our recipes for a taste of Fall River in Maine! Thank you so much for watching! Duane's sisters also live in Maine, beautiful!
It looks like Christmas. You should visit the Griswold Inn in Essex, Ct. Oldest inn in in America, I think and in a beautiful little village! Carolers singing at the Griswold is the best way to celebrate the holiday season.
Yes, the seafood was just as delicious! But, being in such a great city and anticipating embarking on a cruise to Alaska the next day, made for an amazing lunch! Thank you for watching!
Just wondering..do you know if any good local restaurants that have dinner for 2 specials during the week? I know fays too in Dartmouth has wine and dine for 2 in Wednesday.. it's delicious..ty
Last we knew Jack's Family restaurant in Warren had a ding special for two on Wednesdays and Thursdays. It offered a choice of soup or salad, then choice of entree, and then a dessert with a bottle of wine, I think it was about $30. They have a facebook page you can check out, and we reviewed them a while back on our channel - here is the link - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1X72BdFLku4.html
Yes, we reviewed Benjamin s earlier this year on our channel. Here is the link to the video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-giG7jE6nkI4.html
My grand parents were from Azores. He never made this soup so spicy hot. The linquisa had enough spice. Many cloves of garlic were in the soup. Children would never be a able to eat this. He added kidney beans and tomatoes. I hope people don't think this is what Portuguese really make. This will destroy your stomach. Sad.
Nidia, right next to VANDA is Captains Catch....Awesome fresh seafood..... I will buy the clams there....And, YES!!!!! Clam juice should come in at least 16 oz bottles.....
I had a seafood stuffie there recently, she microwaved it.. (so hot). Did not like it however. I rarely get stuffed quohogs because they’re never gonna be as good as my grandmothers were. Most of them are put in a food processor and all one consistency .. in my grandmas, you saw a pieces of corn, pieces of celery, and onion. I’ll check out your stuff comparison
HI! Nothing will ever compare to homemade. Our video was just for fun, and to see who might make the best, if we can't make it ourselves! Thank you for watching!
When I go to a clamboil I bring home leftovers, and ask them for some broth. I cut up the sausage, hotdogs, clams.. the onions and potatoes will get too soggy so I get fresh onion and potato and cook it in the broth. I then add the sausage and hotdogs.. .. when I heat up the bowl, I usually add a little of the clams. So they don’t overcook and get tough. I call it ‘Clam boil chowder’ .. thought I invented it lol but I then saw they have it sometimes at the Gridiron on route six in Swansea. Since I like Rhode Island chowder (clear.) better than New England. I love clam boil chowder.. (I don’t put chourico in it because I’m not a fan of it in chowder (or quahogs) (By the way, you can get the large cans of clam broth usually at Job Lot)
