It is expensive but no more so than the original PSVR. With the old headset you had to buy the headset, move controllers and the camera which was around the same costs. No other headset on the market others this level of performance for the cost. I cannot imagine Sony are making much on the headsets at the moment. However as you mention it is probably too high for a casual gamer to take a chance on. This is why Sony needs to start demoing PSVR2 in video game stores / outlets. Selling VR without actually experiencing it is a difficult ask.
What a cool idea. I would like to build one too, thanks for sharing! It would be awesome if you could share the code/software so other peoplecsn build one too.
He said he used HDD to play the game, I also had stuttering problems until I switched from HDD to SSD with this game, my setup is a ryzen 5600x, 6600XT, and 16GB 4100Mhz DDR4, so it had more than enough power, the only culprit was the HDD.
