Thanks for the video. You're missing fish because you have too much slack in your line. Lower your rod and keep your line tighter.

Nice video …, I did subscribe … I’ve been quite successful fishing power bait eggs in white and chartreuse up there at Flatiron…. Also tried flyfishing and that was quite fun on those little stockie rainbows as well….. that new chimney hollow reservoir is going to be a great place to fish in a few years… looking forward to that… 👍👍

I just stumbled upon your video. It brings back some nice memories of when I was there in Rocky Mountain National Park several years ago. I was camping at Moraine Valley campground. While the wife and kids were in Estes Park I decided to go to back camp and fish the Big Thompson Right by our campsite. I caught about a dozen browns and a couple of brook trout too swinging softhackles. Thanks for helping.me relive those memories. That guy who high holed you was being a real jerk. I’m glad to see it didn’t affect the fishing.

The older 2000R (labeled FX200 Quickfire) had a spool removal button. The newer 2000R appears to be the same reel but different spool and no button. How do I remove the spool on the new style? I see the spool removal arrow but I don't get it. Help.

Hi, I've just been given an Okuma Fly 380s and I've never used a fly reel before. On the side it has two dials that say "more" & "less" which I've assumed are for the drag but I can't figure out why it has two? also there is a small trigger in the middle on the other side and I have no idea what that is for. Could someone enlighten me please? 😊

Hey, what do you recommend as far as bait/lures to use there? I literally went there today and got nothing. I only had panther martins on me though. The fishing were jumping everywhere :(
@FrontRangeFishing
@FrontRangeFishing Год назад
We've caught a lot of fish there on Trout Magnets and/or mealworms, especially on the ice. The jumping fish might have been the native creek chub, if so don't beat yourself up for not catching them. If there was a big insect hatch happening you may have needed a fly or to be closer to the surface than Panther Martins are made for. We have a couple other videos there so check those out!

Thank you so much man! What’s the main differe between the SLV and the Sierra X?
@FrontRangeFishing

The Sierra has a multi-disc composite drag system, the SLV system is cork and steel disc, it has a larger arbor, and is available in a few more sizes. They are both great reels for what they cost!

Took me a while to figure out what lake you were at due to the ultra wide angle camera. Mostly pretty dinky trout, the fishing definitely went downhill there over the course of last summer. A question about the material, is it heavier than the Cabela's brand waders?
@FrontRangeFishing
@FrontRangeFishing 2 года назад
Can't say for sure, but after a quick glance through their selection I would guess the material is comparable to the Cabela's Premium Breathable or White River Montauk. It's been very durable through some heavy use so far. Also check out our video on HiSea waders. Similar price but a little better stocking foot design, unless Kylebooker has updated theirs.

About this time last year I hit Joe Wright near the dam from a kayak. The grayling bite was very active on dries and they were considerably larger than those you show here. I probably caught 20 or so in about 3 hours despite spending a lot of time paddling to compensate for the wind. Super fun! Some old timers fishing from the dam had a lot of success too.
