my favorite vitamix of all time is the vita-prep 3. basically it's the vitamix 5200 with 3 horsepower instead of 2 horsepower. it's slightly cheaper than top of the line A series and G Series with 0.8 more horsepower than A and G series.
Thank you very much for this review. Only now thanks to you I was able to understand the closure and the almost invisible signs. You need magnifying reading glasses to see the signs. It is still very difficult for me to close until the marks are reached, because I have to use a lot of force to close so that the marks are within range. I've been playing with it for a few hours now. My son who is strong did it easily, my wrists went. I don't understand why a company like Vitamix, which is supposed to be the best and every woman should easily use it, the difficulty is unbearable in adjusting the closure. Really disappointed
Yep, has to be ZERO percent fat. 2% makes a foamy product like you get w/one of those handheld frothers. Seems counterintuitive since whipping cream has 35% fat and is marvelous for topping that Thanksgiving pie with a cloud of cream. Buy zero fat and you are in like flint 😊.
Some old people across the street died or something anyway there was a free sign in the driveway in front of a bunch of stuff I got a complete Vitamix 3600 no leaks good condition all the original labels works great!
Betcha they do the dial reset on purpose because the manual says to always start machine on 1 and bring up to high (or whatever speed you’re going for).
The digital control ramps up to the speed the traditional dial is set for because it has a set start and end to its travel. The infinity dial has no finite position it can spin forever, so it must reset to 0.
Thank you for your easy to understand instructions. I am going to refreeze my original ice cream mixture which ended up being liquid. The mixture is made up of half & half covering the blades, 1/4 cup brown sugar, vanilla extract, a small tray of ice cubes & 680 grams (4 1/2 cups) of frozen strawberries. I was thinking of refreezing my liquid mixture & just putting those frozen cubes in the container without anything else. However you mentioned using the ratio of 4 frozen to 1 liquid. That is already the ratio in my frozen mixture. So I am a little unsure of what to do. It was my first attempt at ice cream in the Vitamix.
I just found your channel and I’m so glad!! I have an A3300 but came across a 4000 on Facebook marketplace last week so now it’s mine, all mine. 😂The seller was clearing her grandmother’s estate and said granny bought it and never used it. It looks good and seems to run perfectly but I’ll be watching your entire video soon to check everything.over. Thank you!!
New plastic containers don't fit because they are opposite connections. Vitamix used to have a conversion kit that had a special blade for newer pitchers. Don't kno if they still offer it. It's a good question for customer service
If you had started on # 1 and quickly revved it up to #10 and left it there for one full minute you would have had a better chance of it being fully smooth.
thank you for the interesting recipe look forward to trying that. Just to say microwaving destroys all the goodness and enzymes in the food. Justice easy to peel your potato top it up small and cook it for 10 minutes full stop if you have the ascent series you can make soup in it so why not try cooking your potato first in the soup setting? Then adding your other ingredients❤
There is a manual, I have my original but here is the download. drive.google.com/file/d/0B1743bifCagsNUxQM01LcjVvaTg/view?resourcekey=0-866a0WmgnDssQo47BE6P8A
A good friend of mine gave me another 3600 because it was leaking. He had a life crisis over it, and told me to take it when I said it was an easy fix. Also got a 5200 with a bad speed knob and no container.
I have one of these vintage 3600 models and it looks like it just came out of the box. It was gifted to me by a relative and was only lightly used and came with all the cookbooks instructions etc. Nothing, and I mean nothing makes hot soup the way that this machine does, not even my brand new Vitamix. My BFF liked it so much that she also picked up a complete unit on eBay for $70, and she’s in love with it as well. Thanks for featuring it on your channel, and if this is all that someone can afford, it’s better than having no Vitamix at all.
Practically the same machine. Just the buttons and the package. A3500 has a spinning dial that is ok but I prefer a dial where you set it and it doesn't reset back to zero when a container is removed. Not a big deal but a difference.
Took me all of a 30 second google search to find the 3600/4000 user manual. Downloadable .pdf with specs, instructions and even recipes. It's posted on reddit.
They are practically the same machine. Only the control scheme is a little different among machines of each class (Ascent, G, and C series). I like the venturist because as a a package comes with a 20 ounce cup and blade plus a programmable timer on the front of the machine. The 2500 has 3 programs on the dial but all Ascent machines can have the same controls and programs through the blending app on a smart phone. As a value, Venturist is best in my opinion.
I only did this to show it can be done for fun. The motor can handle this task with ease. But normally, you would use a standard container and tamper. 😋
