For those who don't know, this wasn't as serious as people made it out to be. An unfunny prank caller had the fire department show up thinking there was a fire where Ned lived. No police or SWAT were sent out there to my knowledge during this time. Additionally, for nerds here's a (rough) transcript as to what was said over the phone: "(he's a) Grand Theft Auto V actor" "Ned, are you streaming now? Because the fire (department) is all out here" "Tell them they're being an asshole (referring to the prank caller)"
Additionally this incident had nothing to do with Rockstar or GTA Online. Private information on Ned Luke was leaked ages ago, and Ned himself confirms this on Twitter.
All Ned wants to do is play his favorite game and spend time with his fans. How anyone could be so sour to go after him like this is beyond me, absolutely disgusting. leave the man be
Well yeah but when the Swat team is called, that’s because they believe it’s a serious emergency, and potentially a life or death situation. So due process is kinda thrown out because they don’t want anyone to die
This should be treated like attempted murder. Imagine hearing your door get kicked in so you run to get a defense weapon and are shot and for what? Some kid who thought it'd be funny?
