Cozumel is a blast. Nachi Cocom wasn’t impressed. Barring any hurricane issues, we’re sailing Sept 15 to Paradise Beach and we hear it’s the best of the best. For sure vlogs coming from there! Stay tuned and thanks for the comment!
Girl we always overpack. This is the annual family beach trip - 30 of us in a 3-story house so we bring all the things! Taking the inspiration from you to do VEDA!
I always go with the aisle seat. Our family of 4 has a pretty set routine - Kids are AB, Wife is C, and I am across the aisle in D. The kids are pretty self sufficient, and my wife can nudge me if she needs me to get anything overhead. Also, that aisle-side armrest goes up and down. There is a trick to unlocking it from the down position (search for a catch on the underside), and it makes getting in and out of the seat much easier, especially if the person in front of you is reclined.
Thanks for sharing this nugget about the armrest on the aisle raising up. So many people don’t know that. You’ve got a good plan - kids window and middle, you and the wife splitting the aisle. Are you both right handed? I’m a lefty so I always do right aisle so my left hand is more free.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! How about that Islander!! We're sailing again in September. What was your favorite thing about that ship?
I like the soft bags. I’ve always felt that the hard ones are going to get damaged easier. I also like that the soft ones I can squish a bit to make them fit places lol
Thanks Lee for the comment! Yeah soft sided luggage does have that benefit of being flexible. Me personally, soft sided luggage encourages me to overpack. I’m notorious for it. My nickname is Prepared Paul… need a battery, got it. Need hydrocortisone, got it. Need to make something out of duct tape and a magnifying glass, got it. #macgyver
Hahahaha. I told him. I said you best get outta there. Who knew the rocks in Seattle are slippery when wet and covered in moist moss! One would slip on them with enough targeted force.
Thanks for asking. It’s the Transit Travel Backpack from Wandrd. Here’s our link to their site. We LOVE their bags, slings, and camera bags. bit.ly/wandrd
Question…the 220 plug adapter that you show…was it there or did you bring it? Is there power at the cabinet in the bedroom under tv? Thanks so much for a great video!
The adapter is from Amazon. We’ve used this thing all over the world! amzn.to/3zY8WjW. There was no power in the cabinet under the TV in the bedroom, but there was power in the cabinet under the TV in the living room. The fridge was plugged in but it was one of those European outlets. Thank you for watching and taking the time for the comment. ❤️
I wonder if Margaritaville will switch to the advance muster drill other cruise lines are using. It probably doesn't make sense with only two ships in the fleet, but I think it will once they expand further. People that get drink packages should remember - DON'T overdo it on the first day. You "won't make your money back" after the first day of cruising. And you certainly won't if you spend the second day in bed, hungover. To that end, DO bring powdered or concentrate elecrolyte drink mix with you to help with said drinking. These usually pack enough sodium to help with your dehydration. DON'T forget to talk with your stateroom attendant if you have special requests or want to find out when they will be cleaning your room. DO check to see if you're allowed to bring wine or non-alcoholic beverages on board. DO register your children in the kids club.
Thanks Kevin for the post. ,any things are in the works for Margaritaville. 6-8 more ships by 2030. A mobile app is in the works…so hopefully they transition to the e-muster soon. So many people do go hard on day 1 and it makes the first morning a beast with that hangover. We did bring Liquid IV powder but thankfully never needed it. Kids club registration is a good call out because it fills up fast. Our room attendant was Johnie-on-the-spot with any issues or accommodations we had. At this time, Margaritaville doesn’t allow sodas or wine like other lines do, but that may change in the future we were told. Soooo much more coming from this incredible cruise. We had so much fun we’re going back for the September 15 sailing with a few other RU-vidrs and about 4 other people from our family. Yes, it was that much fun!
@@AaronandTodd I think Margaritaville had a bit of a stumble with their first ship. But based on videos from you and others, I think they managed to find a better ship and perhaps a better fit for what they can bring to a crowded cruise market. Hope we'll get to see some collabs with you and some other RU-vidrs.
Great video guys. There are a lot of questions about this in the Margarita at Sea Islander Fans page. Someone shared your RU-vid post. Very thoughtful ❤️
Thanks for taking the time to reply. We have 6 more videos in various stages of editing from the Islander. We had a BLAST. Sailing again on September 15. We’ve noticed an increasing number of wheelchair bound sailors and thought this would be helpful in bringing some answers to the masses about accessible rooms.
It looks like 4237. Did you notice the piece of cardboard in the wall unit on the deck near the chase lounges that separates the balcony from your neighbor.
We had that suite on the June 18th cruise. The corner balcony aft facing was huge. We loved it so much we booked another cruise in August 2025 in the same room. 4237
Thanks awesome to talk to someone who stayed in the same room! Mr A, Vasile, and Jerin (our room attendant) took great care of us! Yes the room was so nice! We’re sailing again September 15 but doing a breezy balcony. More Islander videos coming soon!
@@treymenesses6208 it was plenty cold as long as you kept the heavy curtains pulled while out. Yeah it detracts from the awesome view but that sun can heat the room up quick!
Stay til the end for the balcony tour. I tried to create a serine, inspiring vibe for the balcony tour. How about the music track during that balcony tour! Makes me tear up every time I watch it. Rear-facing cabins have the best views (IMHO). Where’s your favorite balcony located?
We’re planning a side-by-side-by-side for 2025 on Royal, MSC, Virgin. It’s gonna be a long month at sea for sure! Thank you for your support on our channel ❤️
We didn’t get the Voyageur carry on but should be similar to the larger one. No BS, this thing was banged by airlines all the way around the world and NO Damage. We were shocked, honestly…thanks for watching!
