I love selling men’s clothes, though I don’t have alot in my closet right now. Men don’t ask alot of questions and alot of times pay full price or close to full price, alot of the time:-) I also love selling kid’s clothes because they’re so easy to list. I put measurements for men’s and women’s clothes but not for kid’s clothes. I’ve only been asked twice for measurements on kid’s clothes. They sell really well for me. About 1/2 of my closet is kid’s clothes. About a 1/3 is women’s clothes and then the rest is men’s and home goods. I The jeans with the patches are a skater brand I think. I sold similar jeans awhile back from a different brand. I actually thought this was a pretty good box:-) It all depends on your business model. This wasn’t the best box I’ve ever seen but I still thought it was a good box. You should list all the jeans and see how they do. They might surprise you:-) I also would try at least one more box, so you could have a better representation of the jeans boxes. I have got some nice new with tags women’s jeans and various men’s jeans that have done really well. I actually have sold more men’s jeans from these boxes for more money than I have women’s jeans:-)
I am new to Poshmark, love spreadsheets, and can see the opportunity for making a little extra money. I appreciate you sharing your Posh journey! Thanks! 🌟
You’re not alone in the skinny jeans department, that’s all I wear too. I just can’t pull anything else off without looking all wonky 😂 And dang! So far both goodwill blue boxes have been a bust, I’m thinking about checking out helpsy source myself. I usually just stick with thredUP rescue boxes but I’m definitely curious about other ways of sourcing too.
Helpsy is HORRIBLE unless you pay up and get new with tags. I’ve tried a few times and all have been so terrible I’ve managed to get a full refund from them which they claim they don’t do.
That was a decent box. Not the best I’ve ever seen but there were some fun pieces in there:-) Pants were super cool and fun:-) I love these boxes! I’ve ordered several of the apparel boxes and jeans boxes. Some are better than others and some are awesome but I’ve always made a profit:-)
HR2 stands for Heat Resistant 2. I hear Heat Resistant items sell good. But you should check comps. Those pants were crazy! I liked the dresses too. Hopefully your jean box will be good.
The coach umbrella should have come with the matching sleeve. The prescription glasses were inappropriate as well as the undergarments. The socks and charms were unexpected and not useful. Hopefully you can get your money back.
I saw another RU-vidr open the 25 item Thread up box and she’s got ST. John jacket so it seems like they put one jacket in each box. I just ordered this box and I’m scared.
Yikes. Makes me feel a lot better about the one I just opened. Honestly Wacoal bras sell really fast for me and it will make half your money back and the sweater was cute. You will break even and possibly profit but definitely not an amazing box. But maybe the lace socks will shock us 😂 there’s lots of feet people out there.
I use acetone (nail polish remover) to get the sharpie off shoes. I keep Goo Gone on hand also, but I use acetone first because Goo Gone has an oil-like base and I have discolored leather shoes accidentally when I used too much product. I enjoyed this style of video - a very realistic day in the life of a reseller👍
I had a lady return a Ralph Lauren one piece swim suit because posh or my bot had somehow mushed an recent aerie 2 piece and the year old RL listing together so the size was an 8 but said S. I apologized and said I would accept the return and offered an 50% discount on anything in my closet for her trouble. Tell me why this lady cut the size, fabric content, and RL tag out, wore it, and left her whole coochie in it😭😭😭 clear as day😩 it was from my personal closet I was so disappointed. Katie if you’re reading this, whyyyyy?😂
Thanks!! I am so obsessed with them! They are hit or miss though on if you get a real good one or not but even the ones I've gotten that I didn't think were great I always manage to at least double my money. I'm constantly checking the availability because it seems like it changes daily. Let me know if you end up getting one & what you think! 🫶🏼
Ohhh this took me a second 🤣 I think it was the Posh Sidekick. It's an app that helps you make sales on Poshmark! I have a link down in the description!
Thred UP boxes 😃 Have you heard of ThredUP? It's kind of like an online thrift store but they have mystery boxes you can buy & that's where I get a lot of my inventory! 🫶🏼
Wow very nice computer, I got my daughter one at Costco yesterday . She got the 13” and the M2. She is starting nursing school so it will be perfect for her to get her through nursing , take care !
Not a stupid question! I wasn’t sure at first either! I honestly found another posher who took measurements & I made note of what all she measured. Feel free to check out my closet if it’s helpful! Link is in the description. I measure everything laying flat unstretched. For tops/dresses I measure armpit to armpit & length (shoulder to bottom hem). For bottoms I measure waist, rise (crotch to top of waistband) & inseam (crotch to bottom hem). Sometimes people will ask for more specific measurements like the waist of a dress but it’s very rare.
