I have played this in the band for years but I never knew it had this rich culture vibe in it. Never knew I was playing this. Hey, it's gonna be my lullaby. Ii love it.
I am not an Ewe but I love this lullaby. Now I get the chance to learn the lyrics (by the way, my Ewe friends don't want to teach me). You've earned my subscription!
I'm a Nigerian, I came across this sweet melody on TikTok, I had to search for it on RU-vid... I don't understand anything, But this hits me like a song of HOPE... Please someone should explain to me...
It is a loving tribute from a mother to her baby. Soothing her child from crying. The sub titles on the clip might help you to understand.. hope this helps.
It is a lullaby in the ewe language. It goes this way. My prefect child. Whether good or bad, I gave birth to him/her. Please don't cry in the night for something might steal your voice away, my perfect child.
