A thought, when the pile becomes large if you have extra people a long board will a rope on each end could be used to drag down big chunks at a time. You wouldn't get it all but it would lighten the load for the machine as he goes back and forth.
Tragic really.... all those rakers now laid off... back at the house... sitting around on their phones getting fat, ugly, brain dead and going broke ordering junk from amazombie!!!! : )
Ill just stick to putting hay up on flat land, screw that stuff, there is a reason why I got away from square baling. Try feeding 75 head of cattle with that as your production method.
Is it easier for the farmer? Yes. Is the job done faster? Probably. Is the grass all dry when getting to the bottom? No., it also pulls in some live grass, creating a moist situation that can heat of and combust if unlycky. 'Is it better for the environment? No Is it better for the worker? Only for those that are without family /friends to help them out. Is it better from a human aspect? No.. we lose the tradition of helping out, teaching children, and get together with family for the harvest.
@@MrSaemichlaus I have been., and its steeper, and a longer route to the barn, lol.. My uncle would have to have a road buildt to get anything up there:) It is only a few days of work when we all pitch in.. except those that are too lazy to bother, yes we have a couple of those too:P
