These are my favourite lines..they just made a whole perspective shift for me. There is no such thing as bad people. We’re all just people who sometimes do bad things. ”No one is exclusively bad, nor is anyone exclusively good. Some are just forced to work harder at suppressing the bad.
Everyone on this podcast has read it, multiple times. If you catch this full episode, you’ll hear us reference this given this is a small clip. However, people can enjoy a movie or show without reading the source material, no? Anyway, thank you for your input nonetheless. -Lacey ✨
I often feel that the thing with Georgiana’s almost being lost not very long before the dance caused his hackles raise. He was still upset and wasn’t ready for social interaction or the craziness around him. Mrs. Bennet’s comments about Bingley and Jane being married within six months reminded him of how he is treated when he goes to balls or other events and was generally worried Bingly being entranced by those who would take advantage of him.
It is actually a really good film to see how historically life would be for women in the past. Love was not the priority, survival was, and wealth helped that along a little easier. Even to the point of marrying a cousin. Honestly enjoyed it.
Sure, why not? Getting inspiration from any story or creative outlet for that matter. But either way.. I guess different strokes for different folks. 🙃
Matthew is not bad, but I prefer Colin Firth as Mr Darcy. The BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice is the brilliant. The film with Keria Knightly cuts out so much of the plot. Plus it has that terrible Disney ending. The only thing worse is film version of Persuasion with Dakota Johnson.
Cynthia (co-host on our podcast) loves the BBC version. Yours truly (Lacey) does admittedly love the 2004, Disney-esque ending and all - and I totally respect your POV 🤣💕
Thanks for the feedback. I hear you, but negative ghostwriter. Missed the point. Read the fine print (Emotional Available & Changed Behavior - nothing superficial as it’s a play on the hype).
😂. He is handsome, tall, & manly. He is rich & solves her problems & loves her to death. Secretly passionate. We love the angst and the back & forth between their strong characters.
Life is not without conflict. Or as you labeled it, “drama”. I’m curious if you have actually seen the movie / watched the book or are you making stereotypical assumptions?
