No worries Jon. If I'd got a better start I wouldn't have been near you. Typically I changed to the Audi because of my bad starts in the Elantra....but then got held up by someone getting a bad start in an Elantra..!! 😅

My favourite series to drive on iRacing at the moment. Rallycross was always my favourite motorsport to go & watch in my youth so trying to recreate a little bit of that 😅
Nice drive, shame about the couple of mistakes. I find this the hardest of the rallyX teacks to do, interesting to see you going so well and using the handbrake 🤔
@@John74YT Definitely the most difficult circuit to learn. The handbrake helped but very tricky to get consistent with it……getting there tho and now on D license 😁😎
@@simracer-65 I also liked it. My race was, meh. Also we had 7 entries i think. Missed a lot in iracing cause of the nice weather outside. Gonna do some races today and off to the work for two weeks again.
Not sure I've noticed a huge difference that others have said but can feel some improvement with the tyres. It appears lap 3 is the quickest on them before they begin to tail off. I think I'm fairly easy on my tyres so maybe not such a change to driving style for me.
I encounter AI on the Nordschleife pacing slowly on the far side of the track under green at races. Might be qualifying behaviour to let other cars through on their hot laps. But why is it happening at a race then? Any idea what's going on and how to fix that?
Hi there. No sorry, not sure on that one. The A.I. do some weird things sometimes, but I'm always amazed I can get some decent racing in with them. They have definitely improved over the years but as you have noticed, they still have some work to do.
@@simracer-65 Thanks for your answer. Yes, i'm very happy with how good the AI is in iRacing. Maybe trying to do 60 car 3 hour multiclass endurance races on a 25km track is a bit much to ask for. I need to try whether this issue happens on single class and or >40 cars.
The Clio is such fun to drive. You had 3 good races there Neil. I was happy with my Okayama race but Oran Park was a disaster for me. I'm just glad I didn't take anyone out. It was fun to race with everyone.
Clio is definitely one of my favourite cars on iRacing. It was a good event, really enjoyed it but the Russell was on form that night so he beat me by one place every race! I'm still not convinced on rain though, not really enjoyed it much.
Can't remember trying the Audi, but the league I'm in it appears to have a slight edge. I can't change until end of the season otherwise I may have given it a go. Not sure if recent tyre update has made any difference. I'll also probably do a full TCR season this time.
