I can't help but wonder, if it is time I said goodbye I can't help but wonder, if it is time I said goodbye Your heart says you try to love me, but in your soul I hear you cry I'd give up everything I own, just to wake up by your side I'd give up everything I own, just to wake up by your side But I can't help but wonder, are your ready for a new man in your life I can't help but wonder baby, if it is time I said goodbye I can't help but wonder baby, if it is time I said goodbye And I know I'll see my answer baby, if a tear falls from your eyes.... I want have to wonder, if it is time to said goodbye
I've been going to see Alan for some 40 or more years- I'm from his hometown and he NEVER NEVER put on a bad show - Always excellent ! Love Alan Haynes !!
Let me tell you about how big this man is when I was a kid in Houston before old enough to go out drinking I was taken to see Alan and Tommy Shannon was with him before Stevie Ray HELLO ???? So anyways im a kid nervous and I ask to see his guitar and he says ok kid PLEASE DONT DROP IT someone else had broken his firebird and he had just got it fixed and let me who is no body hold it ... I did not drop it but he was and is always respectful and down to earth to anybody and for that I love Alan Haynes because he is the real thang. Im born and raised Texan and have been going to see and hear him play since mid 70s so I can speak here right ? Stevie Ray knew this man and gave him that red strat which is shot over silver btw cause he let me see it in Dallas too thats how cool Alan is. If you look in Websters under cool Alans picture is next too it....
da's niet meer dezelfde zangeres, nu is't miss Kitty K., en (IMO) ze is mooier en zingt mooier dan de vrouw op dit filmpje. De vrouw in dit filmpje noemt Booby en-nog-iets.
Alan Haynes is just incredible! Not only is he idolized by so many guitar players, he's got one of most beautiful voices along with incredible phrasing in every note he sings, that I have ever heard. I also idolize Alan Haynes!
Great version Alan showed me this tune I just re found it and im glad I did. HIs version with wayne bennett is real great too. First place I heard it besides the 60s radio as a child. Alan is the real deal and has been as long as I can remember, Ive been fan since 1977 What a player and voice...~texas blues at its finest

I agree with the other comments, Alan's a fantastic guitarist and great singer, and a brilliant entertainer. I've seen him twice at the Oud Brabant and he was brilliant both times.
yes, great to see his videos here. I first saw (and met) Alan back in the 70's when he played 'the glass hat' and 'diamonback' (nickel beer night). In houston, he still plays usually the last saturday every month at The Big Easy Social Club in the west U area, kirby near bissonett I think. Yeah, he's autographed one of my guitars, right next to Robin Trower :)
Wow,I was so glad to see that Alan Haynes was on RU-vid!I have seen this man in Houston @ Fitzgeralds,do not know if the place is still there or not.I do know that he was awesome then and still is.People that are familiar w/him know that it used to be Alan Haynes & the Stepchildren...no matter who he plays with,he kicks ass!
