Good morning!! I am a nephologist and I was diagnosed with clear cell carcinoma in September 2022. I had a nephrectomy and despite having a trachyle stage, they chose to do pembrolizumab. After 14 doses I started to have dyspnea and needed hospitalization for treatment. Since then, January 2024, using prednisone, which has a quick response, but with a reduction to 20 mg, the symptoms worsen again on the tomography image. Would mycophenolate associated be an alternative?

Mine is the same diagnosis EXCEPT I am HER2+ ER+ and PR+ and my Tumour is a little smaller and I have a smaller tumour as well. The similarities is I have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, am 50, Postmenopausal, my 3 lymph nodes they removed during the Lumpectomy were clean (had no cancer) and the Tumour they removed had clean margins. I had Paclitaxel weekly as well as Trastuzumab every 3rd week. Now after the lumpectomy they will start me on T-DM1 for the remaining tumour as Paclitaxel made me too sun sensitive and my skin changed on my face and hands and the nails on my hands and feet were affected where they started separating from the nailbed. My hair is just starting to grow back and I hope that T-DM1 won't make it fall out like Paclitaxel and I hope that it would ruin my nails and skin as I read it has a lower chance of alopecia. They did say that T-DM1 may make me sick to my stomach but I am heavy set so perhaps not so bad... I don't know. I will see. I have noticed that Chemo made me really immunosuppressed which I thought I knew what that was like since I had a kidney transplant but I did not realize that with chemo more than your T-cells and B-cells are affected. But because of being already immunosuppressed, I knew the importance of staying away from sick people, using 30+ SPF sunscreen and covering up my skin when outside. I came to your video because I wanted to know more about T-DM1. I assume that I will stop taking Herceptin (Trastuzumab) once I start T-DM1. I will be seeing my Oncologist this Friday after no chemo for over a month now and my lumpectomy being 3 weeks ago now. Since this Monday will be my next due date for the Trastuzumab I am wondering if she will tell me Friday if I will start the T-DM1 the next Monday or not. I am frustrated by my Oncologist how things seem to be always last minute and I reminded her how my Chemo Port did not work last time and I still was wondering what the chest x-ray told her. So she said blood labs on Friday half an hour before I see her. One arm has an AV Fistula and the only arm they can use is so overused from my years of health issues that I feel they should be more on top of my Port working. When I got my Trastuzumab 3 weeks ago they used a hat thing that had these glasses to see the veins better and used my hand and was able to get the IV in. They might have to do that again this time. They could not get my port working and said they cannot give me Heparin without a script from the Oncologist and it was too late to get one. Well they leave things last minute how am I to get one? So I will see this Friday what will happen. I found your video very helpful. Thank you for posting it.

But having all of these symptoms does happen after a unnecessary hysterectomies 😢. And they are performed so quickly on any woman under the age of 65. I was one of them at the age of 36 .I was never this sick before 😢I guess "the science " ignores all of these horrible side effects after a hysterectomy for a benign reason 😢.

Hy, I need a suggestion plz. My mother has undergone hysterectomy few years back and now she has got water in fallopian tube and cyst attached to a ovary. So now doc has advised to remove the fallopian tubes. So my question is? Should she remove both fallopian and ovaries at the same time. So she doesn't have to go through operation in future again for ovaries. Plz plz plz help?

I've had several of the side effects from Revlimid. One that I hated was hair loss. Due to current insurance issues I have not taken it in over three months. Not only do I feel better, but my hair stopped falling out and feels thicker as well. I don't know I I will continue with it if I remain in emission. I pray that I do.

I’m gonna die no matter what ,, I had stage four lung cancer then I was on immunotherapy called KEYTRUDA , ABSOLUTELY IS WONDERFUL. IT REMOVED ALL OF THE CANCER TOTALLY ERASED IT, BUT IT ATTACKED MY ADRENAL GLANDS IN MY UPPER KIDNEY, WHICH IS VERY VERY VERY RARE. , SIDE EFFECTS FOR THAT VERY VERY WEAK VERY SLEEPY AND PRETTY MUCH MUSCLE PAIN . THEN THE CANCER CAME BACK SO I’M BEING RADIATED BECAUSE THEY’RE VERY SMALL. .. I have stage four small cell lung cancer, and I gave it to myself because I was smoking. I did this to myself. All I had to do was stop smoking or not smoke I killed myself I’m going to die no matter what it’s gonna come back.

2/13/24 called 911 because of possible stroke for 86 yr old mom. In the ED, we learned Mom has stage 4 lung CA metastasized to her throat, brain, adrenal glands (from 2nd hand smoke exposure- she’s never smoked in her life, but Dad did; casino smoke, growing up post WW2, era). On 2/21/24, follow up appointment with her Primary MD said because of her “poor prognosis”, it’s a miracle she left the hospital (on2/17/24) and is able to walk on her own. Hospice care, hospital bed, O2 machine w/back up tank & medical devices in place at her home. People can’t believe she’s up, walking talking and still mostly herself. No need for: cardiac MD to follow her, MRI, surgery, chemotherapy, or finger stick blood sugars to monitor her DM. Radiation for pain relief only, but she denies it. Primary MD said no good time estimate because of the stage & spread of the disease - could be days, months or a year; I’m puzzled. I’ve done all the denials, hysterical crying, etc., but every additional day I have w/her is precious. What should I expect?

What the first doctor said about radiation is complete nonsense and totally outdated. It may have been true when he graduated medical school but he needs to update his references. I have BCC on the tip of my nose and looked into both Mohs surgery and superficial radiation therapy (SRT). The radiation is just as effective now as surgery and is being recommended as a first line treatment option. However, multiple dermatologists kept trying to get me to do Mohs surgery. One did a second biopsy that looked more like an attempted excision but the results came back that there was still cancer even after the large biopsy. I went to three Mohs surgeons and 2 of 3 didn’t seem to want to do surgery. One offered me Imiquimod which worked on the surface but not well enough to eliminate the BCC completely. I’ve finally settled on SRT as that is the simplest and arguably most effective treatment. The only thing better than SRT would probably be image guided superficial radiation therapy (IGSRT) but my hospital doesn’t have that technology available yet because it’s so incredibly new. The moral of this story is to shop around and get a second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventy seventh opinion and look at whatever you can find online because the medical field is advancing at the same speed as the computing field now. Some of these doctors are recommending Atari when there’s now PS5 on the shelf. 😆
