So cute ! Your Smooth Collie what a grand teacher, and what a beautiful sweet pup. I got my first Rough Collie two years ago. What a great dog. Really enjoying the breed. 🐕🐾🐾❤
Good thing for the rains. 😀 My trees are growing good this year, I had to do a lot of repots a couple weeks ago but are coming back really good with the heat / humidity and the rain. I hope your summers as good as your gardens are so far.
Reminds me of my neighbors dog Sandy my first collie to play with daily then i got a rough collie pup and raised till 7 yrs and had to be put down. Because of arthritis time for an easier to care for smoothie in my old age of 70 + yrs I would love one in my life now. Please God
We have a 12 year old smooth collie / dachshund mix. Sadly, we're going to have to say goodbye to her tomorrow. She's been what I call "The World's Sweetest Collie" as long as we have had her. Adopted from a rescue shelter when she was three. Loves everyone, cool with cats and any size dog. For the past 2+ years Cushing's Disease has taken her spunk and wasted away her muscles. We're very sad but it's gotten really pitiful watching her struggle. She'll be missed more than any other dog we've ever owned. Run free sweet Becca.
My WONDERFUL SMOOTH COLLIE BUDDY, is such a dear sweet animal. He is 14 and such a dedicated friend. I will be heart sick when he is gone. I love this breed, they are so gentle and so smart. I love my Buddy.
We have two smooth collies who are sisters from the same litter. One has been with us since she was a puppy in 2013 and the other when her previous owners had to give her up in 2017. These snow filled walks such as you show were our daily lives, however at 11 years old things are slowing down now with more leisurely sniffing and less running and playing.
Aww so nice to read other smooth collie owners' experience and so kind of you to give a loving home to your second dog in 2017 ❤️ our now 10 year old smooth collie is still up for a good run but we recently got a rough collie pup and had some scary situations with a coyote in the same area where this video was filmed so we are staying away until the new puppy is at least as big as a coyote. I have some more recent videos of my older dog running with the puppy if you are interested. Much love and please give your smoothies a big hug from me ❤️
@@itsinyournature No, a Coyote encounter would not have been a good experience. In 2015 one of our smoothies had a close call with a porcupine but fortunately no harm was done in the end. I had originally found a rough male Collie in an animal shelter back in 2006 which is how we got involved with the breed, we never did find out his history or how he ended up in a shelter.. He was our beautiful gentle boy until he passed in 2017.
We have two 11 year old smooth Collie sisters. One (in my pic) is larger and stockier but the smaller more gentle of the two looks very much like yours. They have us wrapped around their paws, earlier this evening one was wiggling around upside down on the love seat making her little noises so I’d come over for a belly rubbing session. 🙂
A lot more nature scenes than a "dog" video, but actually it accurately shows how you and Cooper take a nice walk. Bith of you enjoy it :) I love that. Thanks!
Aww thank you! Yes, people here for the dog only will be disappointed 😞 it is more about sharing our personal moments together. We have lots of really nice ones, smoothies are such special dogs.
I live in zone 6b and These have been growing pretty ok for the past 3 years 👍🏽👍🏽. I tried to get it on a watering routine but it doesn't like that. It seems to like to be left alone.

So happy you have a smooth collie also! They are such good dogs, so kind and gentle and smart and sensitive and also very elegant and gorgeous. Not sure why they are not more common.
That's awesome! The hardest part for me was keeping the little seedings from getting mouldy once they germinated. I lost a lot of them at that stage. It is going to be so fun to see what we get!
That one bulb has red blotch which if fungal, and the rotting bulb was eaten into by a Narcissus Fly, where the larva burrows into the bottom of the bulb, and lives inside, munching away the middle tissue. We can see the entrance hole. All 4 of mine planted outside last summer were affected, one still having the larva in the center, and the other three had different amounts of damage too..... I even just bought 5 new bulbs from Lowes this week, and after pulling off the papery skins, two of them also had the holes, so had to clean out the damage. I'll have to go look to see if you have a follow up on the seedlings...
Hi thank you for letting me know all this. I still have all these same bulbs I believe and also I have these seedings still! They are not a flowering size yet. I have an update video on them. I will check over all these issues you have mentioned.
