We demolish buildings and perform hands on interior selective demolition and junk removal to get items to repurpose. This idea birthed our rebranding /relaunching of our demolition business concept in 2014 which we call Remove It Pros Inc. So through our resell division called Re Use It Pros we resell used furniture, cabinets and appliance's and do a fair amount of scrap metal recycling. We use items from our Re Use It Pros online store to furnish and rehab our properties for our Short Term Rental Business (Currently using AIR BNB, VRBO and Booking.Com .) See links below.
We Would Love To Share This With You If You Like It. We will be doing one video a week as a minimum.
To See our business side and to follow our journey growing Remove It Pros to its full potential. removeitprospureentrepreneur
Blueing is called oxidation and when copper comes out of the ground it's blue green I've never understand if copper comes out of the ground pure copper is green until you pour sulfuric acid on it and it turns pink so pure copper comes out of the ground #2 copper until you clean it with sufric acid to take the copper oxidation off of it
I was Foreman of a scrapyard for 10 years 95-05. Yes that's how it goes if your aluminum has steel on it then it gets priced as dirty aluminum. Steel is way heavier than aluminum. You want top dollar then clean it otherwise we clean it and have to pay employees labor to do it. They aren't gonna pay you aluminum prices for steel that's how you lose money. You want top dollar then clean your stuff people!
its cool to see the other side of the demo world. I work for a city in FL and i am the initial step in the demo, basically decide to condemn buildings, then leave it up to other crews to demo. Never get a change to see the final stuff. this is cool
Question from an European. You guys know there will be more Hurrikans and the sea level is rising. King tides are happening more and more often. And yes, the (salt)water will go away after them, damages will be repaired but for higher and higher costs. When is the point when it makes no sense anymore for the people who live there ?
I guess we are slow learners, I for one live 50 feet from the water at an elevation of 10 feet. I love living here and 99% of the time is wonderful and the hurricanes are a part of it. AS far as sea level rising, they predicted Florida would be under water by now. Measuring on my sea wall is not much higher as far as I can tell.
Hello...How much does hurricane insurance pay? Say a house is 5m and has hurricane insurance...what is the deductible? Does insurance pay or do they claim bankruptcy and not pay? What about your cars, personal items in the house, etc. ? Great coverage by the way. I don't see any gas stations or grocery stores...sad. I'm the one giving you tips about your recycling. Steve from California 😊
The flood insurance pays five hundred thousand for commercial property two hundred fifty thousand four a residential property, and that's it. Wind and other damage is just calculated off of the damage. My policy only paid out on the flood.
Used to stay on Pearl St for many years. Didn't go on a vacation until this week and went to Key West instead. We're flying home from Ft Myers in the morning so we drove up today and checked in to the hotel. My wife and I debated if we wanted to go check out what was left of our beloved paradise. We had too. We were gutted. 😢 Almost 2 years later and Ft Myers Beach is still almost unrecognizable. As I sit here in the hotel room by the airport I know San Carlos Blvd will never be the same. Sad sad day. 😞
we use to go there. we found that clearwater beach is much nicer even before the hurricane hit. high end hotels at clearwater beach are wonderfull. the lani ki, diamond head and outrigger were nice but not as luxurious . also the pools at wydom grand and the sandpearl are superb. i’ve head that ft myers won’t be 100% for 10 more years. hopefully no more hurricanes as bad as ian.
If someone's losing their job, it's because of the company fired them. If an employee is doing something the employer doesn't like. It's one of two things always, first and most likely. The employer, has given very poor training to the employee. Often ideas clash and instead of a boss taking responsibility, they fire the person they didn't train correctly. The second reason would be, just a bad employee, and the kicker about that is normally that can be trained out. To say someone gets fired because of a camera is ridiculous. I'm certain what happened is an employee told a customer If you do this you'll get more money, and for helping a customer they fired them. I guarantee you there are cameras all over that building. Scrap yards are some of the most corrupt and shady businesses out there. There greed is insane and they don't fire people because they lost some money they fire people because they didn't screw somebody over far enough.
theres nothing wrong with those up stairs condos, they should just make the bottom garages and keep the upstairs alone. id loveto have a condo like that in florida. didnt the people who own the upstairs ones want their stuff back and were the able to seel their condos to get their money back
Thank you for taking the time to make these videos they are very informative. Please everyone watching this contact google maps and ask them to update the images. When potential visitors look at google maps the images are over a year old from when FMB looked like it was destroyed!
I have to say that demolishing a nice, attractive, roomy home that's still in good condition is disturbing. It also usually develops that the new owner is going to fill as much of the land as possible with the new building and they'll cut down all the existing trees and shrubs too.
As hard as it is to prodict how and where the hurricanes / tornados path etc must be a way of slowing it down or protecting the ppl and buildings from it with modern technology
I really enjoyed this overview of FMB and the continuing progress being made after hurricane Ian. I'd like to see Y-T vids on The Strand (and Dolphin?) demos.
@@removeitprosdemolition If you were over 400 feet up then you will almost certainly have a problem. Depending on the size of the drone and what you are using it for if you don't have a license could be an issue too. If you have a license you can just easily say that it was being used for your business which it really is.
Maybe it's just me... but what I found a bit funny is that the drone footage seems to be slightly sped up, and it makes the people driving on the road and cyclists look as if they are driving all crazy 😂
Another good reason for filming everything when you're getting all the different grades of recyclables weighed up is that you have a record on video of everything as it's being weighed up on the companies scales you are selling to. Then if there is ever any dispute over items that company has missed you have video proof of said missing items being weighed on their scales with the weight shown of that item as well. I'm new to your channel, and I like what I see of your operation, I have worked in the demolition scrap metal game for decades, you guys are on to it, you have a great bunch of switched on guys, look after them because at the end of the day they're a massive part of the engine that drives your business. Cheers for the reel...deal...
One of the disgruntled employee let us know some stuff that goes on behind the scenes. Not sure if he is telling the truth. It really sad if he is. We don't want to go there we just want to recycle and get paid fair and film it for fun and entertainment.
Sir although I am no longer in the scrap business because of disability! I'm one of those people who learned how many of the scrap yards operates. I know that this was a lot of work and saving for a while. I just wanted to say that this was the type of haul that probably made the true scrappers salivate the more of these types of videos will surely help your channel grow. Very good episode.
28:25 ... This guy is talking 🐂💩... Pure copper cannot be galvanized because there is no iron for the zinc to metallurgically react with. Without a metallurgical reaction, a galvanized coating cannot develop. You are getting ripped off big time...
What a load of scrap ! stuff I dream about, You guys are big enough for them to come and pick up from you they need to supply you with some dumpsters and collect once a week once a month whatever is required. but then you need to build trust and make a contract deal with them each party says what you will and won't do. they cannot change the price on you and you will make sure they get what they are paying you for, good luck. I am just a little guy doing my thing in the land down under but I've been scrapping metals for nearly 20 years. Now i am starting off on a new venture making Jewellery
Even with as many structures as there were here, this is still not a major urban center. One day Florida is going to undergo the catastrophic hit of a major storm like Ian or Michael on a big city, and what he describes will be much, much worse economically. Such a thing will impact the entire state.
13:13 - The famous video of the catastrophic storm surge here was shot by a camera strapped to the power pole on the left. In the foreground of this video are three small palm trees next to the driveway for this parking lot; the trees are shown being completely submerged by waves atop the surge. I wondered if the trees had survived and right here I see that two of them did. They are to the left of the "Beach Parking" sign with the flag attached to it. The trunk of the dead tree is still standing, closest to the sign.
@@removeitprosdemolition You said that you (very fortunately) evacuated to safety beforehand and therefore escaped the real possibility of dying in the storm surge. But you and I, and many others, have watched the red house in the storm surge video getting knocked off its foundation and gradually breaking up, partly sinking and drifting away while the man, woman and their two dogs inside it somehow managed to survive. Massive storm surges are deadly! Everyone can understand that by seeing the destruction afterwards, but I think you never truly comprehend the reality till you watch a video of it going on.
Really very good job! much appreciated! It would be great if you make video a step behind the scrap yard i.e how you collect all these scrap materials.
On that copper you were told to sand or wire brush clean. All you need to do is get a gallon of cheap white vinegar and heat it add as much salt as you can while hot till it stops melting the salt. Then that can soak or brush on and bam 💥 bright copper
Maybe invest in some of those blue carts for your company. I have seen Ben in Melbourne Australia who uses orange carts. He uses multiple carts for scrapping circuit boards. 😊
