Hi, I'm Randi, Welcome to the Essex Fashion House channel! I do fashion reviews, including modshots and up close shots of all the details of your favorite designer bags and show you how to authenticate different luxury brands when buying second hand. Most of the bags you see on my channel are for sale. Check out my website www.essexfashionhouse.com for authenticated pre-loved and new luxury bags in my shop. I ship worldwide!
It can be hard if you are in a humid area, but mostly I would just say if you can keep them in a space with good ventilation and not too close together, that would be the best. I find that as long as they are in a dry and well ventilated space, they still smell fresh even years later. You can also buy those little silica gel bags to put inside and for smell, you can put dryer sheets in the pockets - of course that doesn't fix a humidity problem but it can sometimes mask minor unpleasant smells.
You can't authenticate a bag just from the serial number or creed patch, you have to look at many different things to authenticate a bag. If you need help, you can read more about my authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
If you mean the style number (not the full number in the bag, but just the style number) and the results are nothing like the bag you got the number from, that's not a good sign, but you can't authenticate a bag just from doing the google search, you have to look at many different factors to determine the authenticity of the bag.
From various marketplaces and people that come to me directly with bags they would like to sell. If you're looking for a place to buy, you can check out my site here: www.essexfashionhouse.com
@@EssexFashionHouse I shipped out a small lil navy blue Nike side bag today, it’s been a while since I shipped items. This was a nice refresher & also some new tips I’m glad I tuned in for!! Can’t wait for them to receive their item 😎thanks again, from Oahu!
The Rogues are amazing! I have a lot of them for sale at discounted prices at the moment if you would like to get one 🤗 You can find them all here: essexfashionhouse.com/collections/coach-rogues
Hi! I read your article and it has been so helpful. I ran into a very tricky bag that online authenticators struggle with. My code has a letter followed by 5 digits, specifically it’s H22202. The code behind that is legit (58849). Do you think this bag was made in February 2022 and is legit, or would it be a fake? I know this is a lot to ask but would love to read your opinion. Thank you in advance!
Oh interesting. I've never seen this before - I'd have to see some pictures of the bag to determine its authenticity. I guess it could be a misprint from the factory but could also be a fake.
If the 'N' is in the space where the month date code is supposed to be, that would be off for sure, but it depends on the format and where the letter is placed.
I dont have any questions about the serial number. But can you make a video about the Logo? The original horse and carriage. I bought a pre loved coach Bennett bag from Japan but the horse seemed unusual. For me it looks like a dog. And everything looks very cheap. I have searched that the logo design varies but to what extent?
Hello. Whats the difference between Carly 10619 and Carly 10620? Thanks❤ also. Is the creed always sewn in with two side stitches vertically? Not stitched on all sides?
Hi! Sorry, I can't tell you the difference between those two specifically as I don't know all the Coach models by heart but it could be that they made multiple versions of the same model where some details are changed on one. Just like all Rogues don't have the same style number even though they are the same model but have different features (for example snakeskin details, embellishments etc) Best I can say is try to compare pictures of each bag from online and see if you can spot a difference 😊 As for the creed patch, it depends on the bag - most bags from 2014/15 and forward have creed patches stitched only down the sides, but most of the bags before that have creed patches stitched all around. Hope that helps! 🤗
I couldn't tell you without seeing the bag. I don't really specialize in vintage Coach, but if its a newer model, you can send me an authentication request via email if you want me to have a look at it. You can find more information here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
I would say that as long as they are not air tight (leather needs to be able to breathe) and you're keeping them out of direct sunlight, they should be fine in acrylic display boxes. Great way to keep the dust off while still being able to have them on display 😊
Before 1994, Coach bags had actual serial numbers which means each individual bag had its own unique series of numbers and therefore the numbers do not tell you anything about the bag like the post-1994 style numbers and time codes.
I just received a West pack from a coach outlet here in Seattle. And you were very helpful luckily. Was what I have? I'm going to think it's real. Lol Mine says it was made in the Philippines. I didn't quite get what you said about that. And I do see the c in the number that you're talking about. But that stands for an outlet, right? I'm so sorry 😂 Thank you very much!! Also, might you be able to tell me what this is? I received a little piece of leather, a very tiny strip with glue on the back. I don't know what that is. Is that for repair, or is that extra clippings from a fake 😂
So glad the video was helpful! If you bought the bag at an official Coach store (whether retail or outlet), the bag should definitely be authentic. Lots of genuine Coach bags are made in the Philippines so nothing to worry about there. If there is an F in front of the style number, it means made for the outlet store but I don't think they use that format anymore. The C is not an indicator of an outlet bag, it is just a new format they've made. No one knows exactly what the C stands for (not even Coach employees lol). I don't know about the little leather strip with glue on the back, I've never seen that with a Coach bag before. Does it match the material of the bag? And where did you find it?
I bought the same exact bag on Ebay and the first time I wore the hangtag fell off and so did some of the tea roses. When I politely asked the seller about where the bag was originally purchased so I can take it in to possibly get it repaired she blocked me instead of helping me resolve the issue without any further communication. Then I took my chances again and second time I wore some more tea roses fell off. So disappointing, this is the cutest bag and I'm devastated, it was expensive. Hopefully no one else had a bad experience like mine. My bag also has a terrible smell, like manure.
I'm so sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. Usually you can take the bag to a Coach store for a repair, but I'm not sure how much they charge. I've owned two of these exact bags now and I've never had an issue with them, they've been really nice quality, but maybe you got one with some factory defaults. It definitely shouldn't be falling apart. I will say, these specific bags do tend to have a distinct smell due to the type of leather they use.
Great info! I just bought a vintage saddle bag which code says D7M and made in the USA. Got a bit curious so here I am. Do you happen to know anything about the white creed on their 65th anniversary Legacy editions? Someone said the white creed patches were on the British Tan while the brown ones are for the Whiskey colour. Is this true? Thank you!
So glad it was helpful! I'm not familiar with that particular style or the details of the creed patch on them so I can't help you with that one I'm afraid. But you do often see the creed patch be different colors to match the bag in one way or another on the older styles, so it very well may be that one color bag had one color creed patch and another color bag had another color creed patch. Thank you for watching 🤗
I got men’s prada handbag , inside of bag there’s pocket inside of this pocket there’s a made in chine tag is it original or fake ? That i bought that from Italy prada shop Can you help me?
I can't say if your specific bag is real or fake without seeing it, but there are in fact some Prada bags made in China. If you bought it directly from the official Prada shop, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
It sounds like you need some more shelf space 😊 I also made a whole video about the best ways to store your bags: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s4CkEsfE5UI.html
The acrylic boxes from Amazon are a great way to store bags on display while protecting them from dust. You can stack them all on top of each other 😊 You can find them here: amzn.to/3ZuZyeT
Hi there I just discovered your channel because I was trying to sell a bag that I bought as a flight attendant in the 90s. I’m trying to find the style and the value. C6C-8968( or 3?)I can’t read the last number. Any suggestions?
They don't use the letter "i" to signify a month in the date code. I don't know if it could be found in another position but I don't think I've ever seen it and seeing as it could be confused with the number 1, I wouldn't think they would use it.
