This just came across my feed so I have no idea who you are but... great drive!! Dude I had no idea hobby stocks required so much steering input. Makes the steering work on my midget look easy lol. It was obvious you had speed after seeing you catch up with the pack in that heat.
I raced hobby stocks for a long time. it is a fun class. you did a decent job for what you had under you. Sometimes it is a good thing to get out of the gas when you are unsure of what the guy on the bottom is doing. you drove it on the trailer that is a Win in my book..
Keep it half throttle thru the turns and use the brakes I raced one of these for years I got way faster driving it like that. Roll the top the v-6 likes RPM
That temper with destroy you and take all the joy away from racing. Second place is really good and you will wreck plenty of other racers on the last lap in your career. Let it go.
If you're such a badass get out of the truck before you go "chew out" somebody that allegedly "wrecked" you. And you'd better get your shit together and stop that tearing into the infield at high speed shit or you're going to get your ass banned, beat or both. And you'll deserve it.
I like that you shared this, we as racers have all done this and we have to learn from it. Thanks and keep your head on like I seen your other videos that you have been doing.
Man I've been in your shoes soooo many times and you are right in the end you look like the bigger idiot 🤷 but that's racing, you are a good driver and the track looked like complete shit but you did good for what you had, now not trying to be a grandstand racer because I know drivers view is different but if was you for the next time I would have just went a second longer up top and got a run on him from the bottom because he was hitting those rutts coming out of four every time and it threw his truck towards the wall so you probably could have got a run on the bottom coming out of turn four but again that's my two cents keep up the good work 👍👍
I'm actually dirt is the way to go because I raised asphalt my whole life and then when I got a dirt car I had the most fun in a race car you could ever have and I will never go back to asphalt now dirt will teach you a lot more about racing than an asphalt car wheel anybody can hold the steering wheel and asphalt late model but not everybody can hold the steering wheel and drive a dirt late model or super stock pure stock or street stock any dirt driver can drive asphalt but a lot of asphalt drivers solely can't drive dirt it's a huge learning curve for asphalt drivers
