I can with my Etesia LKX2 and my Husqvarna flail. The point of the longer video, of which this is a small section of, is that on jobs where you have no choice but to cut long wet grass, this electric mower is not a satisfactory replacement for petrol. If I stood around waiting for the grass to dry, I wouldn’t make any money. But thanks for the insight all the same.
With hedge cutting have u got a similar formula as to your grass cutting, I’ve had a couple of enquiries and visited site today, but I’m a bit stuck to how to price, thanks
Hi David, this was just my Lavender at home. I don’t do hedge cutting for customers. I would suggest you look at what your day rate is based on all the other previous calcs from the website and work it out from there, based on time estimates. You won’t get it right, but if you keep notes on how long everything takes, you will get better at pricing it in the future.
This video has taught me that Americans pronounce Stihl as steel Ruined my day, man 😂 If you care: The German pronounciation of it is the following: Take the "sh" from "short" then add the "teele" from "steele"
I’m English! It always feels odd to give it the full German accent. A bit like Porsche. I know it pur-sche, but I still say poorsh! Vive la difference!
He has been a trooper and generated tens of thousands in work, so it’s time to retire him off. New motors cost hundreds and are hard to come by. Will just get the newer model RMA 448 VC. Godspeed my little orange friend. 😢
Don’t worry, I pull up a stool and stare at the charger for hours every evening. It’s the highlight of my day. Sometimes I tag my wife in to take over if I need a break. If it gets too late, I take it to bed with me; it hates to be left alone.
That’s correct. I have 7 of the batteries, so I don’t need to charge during the day, just when I get in. I find it very useful but I still keep the AL500 in the van just in case I ever do need to charge on a job. 👍
I think the point I was trying to make in some of my recent videos is that the Stihl doesn’t have enough reserve capacity for dealing with the really difficult jobs. I can’t rely on it, so I’ve given up with loading it on the van. Here’s my Etesia video for comparison: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-luJcS3UDAL8.htmlfeature=shared
