Thanks for the Stream Tee. Was able to hang around for a couple hours then had to go. Knew this stream would be all about the "new" stuff but put in a half dozen "older" songs (like to keep them alive) to mix it up a bit. Sorry you did not get to any of them but I get it. Maybe some other time. I have over 400 recordings from her on my saved playlist from over the 8 years I have been following her but understand everyone wants the new stuff...perfectly fine, have seen all of them as well. Yes she mentioned Grandma merry. She didn't mention her father at all ? I think there is something happening between them some kind of rift or something ? I never see him at her concert's or ever standing beside her ? I always see gramdma, her mother, sara her sister juliet,her uncle mike, But not daddy support ? The only time I ever seen him was from her I put a spell on you video when she was 9 Y.O. ? He rented a studio and a band for her 9th birthday. After that he must have not approved of her career ? Hey Tee! I thought his name was Jimmy Zavala! I'm confused! LOL I love watching this performance. It gives me chills every time I listen to it. She had Toby's daughter Mae Mae open with a song as well as Scott Hoying who did 2 songs. James and Chris are working with much better videos from this concert but definitely the audio needs work for each video they are working on. It will definitely be worth the wait as they both work their magic on these songs. Now my wish is for them is to do the song At Last! I'll be over the moon! She did mention Mery when she was thanking her family...
I remember watching her do this on her couch and it was amazing! Angelina knocked that out of the park!! And what can you say about Jimmy Z OMG, that is just years of experience that was displayed! Tee, this was absolutely spectacular! The whole concert was incredible. You are absolutely right ... she was comfortable and very personable..... almost like each one of us were in her home...we all just love her more and more.... she did mention Grandma Mery right after she said Uncle Michael.
Hi Tee! This performance was worth the price of admission alone. Some combination of a) her history with the song (blue couch only prior one) and Etta James (multiple covers); b) her ability to just SLAY a classic blues song; c) Jimmy Z, who just crushes it here! AND he likely performed this with Etta James herself many times. d) a bow to the new Queen of the Blues and Sassy Swaggering Soul. O.M.G. I was sitting right next to James and Jimmy Z was just feet away from us during the peak of that epic solo. I will never forget it. The openers were Mae Mae Gad, Toby's 15yo daughter who sang a nice acoustic song she wrote; and 2 originals sung by Scott Hoying.
It doesn't help that Dan sounds nothing like Cliff Richard. He seems to be singing lower than Cliff -- have they put it in a different key? Because while Tori has certainly captured the timbre of ONJ's voice, she doesn't seem to be singing as high.
Perhaps I should add that it's an appallingly bad song -- from an appallingly bad movie. I was lucky enough to dodge both the movie and the song the first time around 😉
