Thank you for looking at my textiles channel. My name is Kathleen Laurel Sage and I have set up this channel to inspire you to be creative, have fun learning and enjoy your passion for textiles.
I am a freelance designer and embroiderer producing a wide range of innovative textile works using a soldering iron and heat gun to produce a range of innovative textiles and exciting 3-dimensional pieces, all connected together with machine embroidery. I also enjoy traditional gold work and stump work with a modern twist and using diverse fabrics in the form of flexible PVC and other types of plastics.to show case my machine work
On this channel you will find a range of projects and techniques to inspire your creative juices and encourage you to get going with new ideas. My passion is to elevate techniques past and present to motivate a new approach to textiles.

Amazing, amazing. I just found your channel. I love your work. I will definitely have a go at it ....... but hand stitching ..... I don't have a sewing machine .... as I do slow stitching ❤❤
Loved this video!! But I was hoping you’d show how to do the ruffle around the outside of the circle. You sort of showed how to put beads there, which is great, but I’ve been looking all over for instructions on putting the ruffle around. Do you already have another video showing that instructions?? Please give me the name or links if you have one. But can’t wait to try this tree and flowers for now. Thanks again 😊
You are just amazing. I’m an art teacher, retired, but love how you have developed an art form -- WITH HOLES IN IT! Very nice. I joke a bit. Just beautiful.
Love this and am about to try it now! I noticed on a couple of the buttons you had a little scalloped bit - looked almost like a crochet border. Do you have a video for how to achieve that?
This is soooo lovely and very well explained and shown. Maybe I overheard ... but what do I do if my thread is too short? How do I hide the beginning/ending or connect the threads. Same question with the endings when using different colours.🤔
Cannot find your organza kits anywhere please link? Or tell me where to find them love the hummingbird one and the butterfly as well as the clematis!!!!
Oh this is terrific. Thanks so much. Now the only thing left for me...is to get busy and do it. I'm a bead weaver so the addition of beads will certainly add to my work. Thanks again.
I've just started to make Dorset buttons and find it so enjoyable. I'm not quite sure what I will do with them at this point, but your examples have certainly given me some ideas. Your example of the process is so clear and precise. Thank you for that. I'm going to keep you in my pocket for more instruction and support. I'm really drawn to using the buttons as art work for display.
I bought one of your kits and had such a great time making it! Thank you so much for sharing this. I've made my own pieces based on my own designs and I've been looking for a thicker water-soluble stabilizer like the one you included in your kit, but I have been having a hard time finding something similar that is clear. Any suggestions?
i have had the little pot for an eternity. I think it came from my mothers stash so goodness knows how old it is. So sorry i cannot tell you where it came from x
