Studied Kenpo under Joe Louis in St Petersburg made it to brown belt. Also studied Kenpo with JT Will....I later studied Jujutsu the Toide system at LSUA with Dr. Marler and Bill Pearson.

Great technique! In my system, we do the step through forward with our right foot towards 10:30 rather than directly to 12 in order to buckle the inside of their right knee, take them off balance, and avoid a kick to the groin when we take them down 👍

Many congratulations to you Gary on a well deserved promotion. You have been a steadfast leader in Mr Parkers Kenpo and stuck fast to his teachings when it would have been so easy to dilute it to suit yourself, respect . Glad to see they do belts in extra large. So sorry I couldn't be there to see it in person but will catch up soon to shake your hand.

Excellent!!! Loved watching this and all of the support from around the world, There are only a few others that have had this kind of support and encouragement for such a great recognition. Salute Sir! Wishing you many more years of study and sharing in the art.

Thoroughly well deserved; I cannot think of anyone more worthy of this promotion. When I first met Professor Ellis, so many years ago, I was struck by his attention to detail. In his eyes there was nothing so important as concentrating on basics, the foundation of the Art of Kenpo. This carried me through my early years of teaching the art and, even now, after many years of being persuaded to explore alternative fields, I remember this lesson above all others. Thank you, Master Ellis. Perhaps you wouldn't mind if I joined you one day to remind me of what is best in Life :-)

An evening filled with valuable information, none of which should be dismissed as overly simplistic or obvious. To do these things is to enhance your knowledge and to help build a solid foundation in Kenpo. Everyone gained so much from covering these subjects again. In life, you need reminders to keep you on track. Thank you Mr Ellis for sharing with us tonight

AS a Kung Fu stylist who does more than one Leopard and multi animal form, I like it. You put your energy and intent into it. It's basically a kung fu form interpeted via the lens of Kenpo which itself is a hybrid system. Good going.

Proper mechanics and adherence to principles on show in this relatively simple technique which hides much information within. Thank you for sharing the video and for all the others in this series. They will become an invaluable resource for many Kenpoists looking to improve their art.

Awesome display of powerful basics and proper use of stances. No upright stances but using the principle of stabilising the base and rooting. Basics have full extention where needed, no short-cutted movements. Proper form
