How are mountain bikes different to other types of bike? is it all in the suspension and what does that allow? Awesome stuff ! Never seen someone that balanced in a bike especially on that terrain !
Well the difference between normal bikes and mountain bikes mainly comes down to the geometry (the angles of let’s say the front suspension for example) most mountain bikes are a lot longer and lower to the ground to provide stability and the angles that the front suspension sits at is slacker. The suspension also has a lot to do with it yes as it allows the bike to absorb the trail and, if set up correctly, it should mean that the bike stays mostly level over chattery terrain. This is the case for most Trail, enduro and downhill bikes, cross country bikes are a lot more similar to a regular bike. Thanks!
Haha thanks yeah I’m in the complete opposite situation where I would like to make a climb where you could pedal to the top but it’s way too steep hahaha
