Welcome to Softball Scoop - I have created this channel to help the parents of girls youth fastpitch softball. We will be talking about recreational youth softball as well as travel softball. I will be providing information on equipment, drills and tools that are available. We may even do some "Day in the Life" type videos as well.
We will be showing the differences in gloves and bats as well as the various training tools available. I hope that my trial and errors will save you time, money and hopefully educate you in the word of girls softball.
Please subscribe, like and comment on any info you would like discussed or any specific items you would like tested.
Just wanted to say you answered like half a dozen questions I had regarding conditioning my 12yr Olds new glove in this video. Fantastic job! Her season starts next weekend. Can't wait to try all this! Appreciate detailed explanations. Very intuitive! 👍🏼
Father of a 14u travel/club player here. Great video, you captured the experience well. For anyone out there, the trailer/cart is a must for tournaments it makes transporting chairs, coolers, supplies, etc from the vehicle to the field so much easier. Spending this time with your kids is priceless. I know I wouldn't trade it for anything. Thanks for the video!
Different models of catchers mitts have different features but this is a catchers mitt I'm 99.9% sure. Softball catchers mitts have noticeably less padding than baseball catcher's mitts in my experience. I am not sure of the reason other than maybe the larger size of the ball.
Yea, like you said.... different sizes in gloves. This is definitely a catcher's mitt, specifically for softball. Baseball catchers mitts are built a little different with more padding.
