What about starting the engine? Will these animals swin away or get even jalous? 😳 I love animals, but this can get a serious problem. We plan to spend next summer around denmark and i have no idea, how to react to a sinilar situation. ...
Orcas and other marine life are disturbed by the loud, annoying noises that an echo sounder produces. Also, at this point of the Bay of Biscay, the fishermen fish the tuna (or salmon?) away from the orcas, which swim a lot at the edge. I think the orcas know what they're doing. You get problems with a hung rudder.. this year we are also sailing this route with our Monsun 31. I'm a bit tense about it too, but sailing out of the Bay of Biscay is unfortunately not an option for us. We engage with nature, turn off the sonar, keep the tiller environment clear, and hope these beautiful animals are kind to us. 🤞🏼
How monsun 31 good boat for sailing around the world I want to buy one I don't have a lot of money range 40k Euro to spend would you recommend boat like that or better save more ang bigger sailboat?
Orca in this area seem very disturbed by something boats are doing. They are intelligent creatures. We don't give them credit. They are trying to tell us something and we aren't listening.
oh my god.. so many stupid adds and comments and so little understanding.... these wales are coming to you cause they are curiousm thes `try` what comes to their home because it is their home and not ours or any area or hotel or fun that you can book because you `paid` for it. It is the deep open blue sea and if you are goin there you haven`t just to, but you definatelys must expect that there are `others` and this is happening not just since several but than millions of years. It is possible that they just are cunning. It is also possible that any stupid or cold dumbass has attacked injured or killed other whales, family members, children or individuals they knew before. it is also possible that they were feeded many times by other sailors before. it is also possible that they are not good on any humans in their territorial. it is also possible that they really want to destroy your boat cause they see a concurring rival in you. who knows? what we do and must know is that we should treat them respectfully and patient and friendly as it isn`t up to us to kill, injure or distract or torture or even kill other creatures. look how nice they are and how calm"! if they were aggressive they would behave in other ways. We will never accept or understand how egoistic selfish and silly lots of mllions of humans really are. you need to respect and coexcist instead of attacking or really hurting them you dullheads! get used to the fact that especially the polluted sea isn`t your holiday playground and help em as much as you can. make love not war even if they disrupt your journey, steering or whatever. there is and was a reason why theses comrades behave that way. regrets
@@rickylefleur2158 yeah, show them how much fun these sailing boats are with lots of thrown stuff. I guess that this behaviour has been caused by humans attracting orcas, approaching them too closely and possibly throwing them objects, fish and other 'fun' things. By the size of the "attacker" it is clear that it is a very young individual.
Heard about a pod of Ocra attacking several boats off the coast of Portugal from another you tube vlog. It has a few sailors worried as they have attacked large fishing boats too, mainly the rudders seem ro be there targets. Maybe they are fighting back at the humans!!
They aren’t lol. Orcas are curious, this isn’t attacking, it’s just playing. Trust me, if the orca wanted to flip it over it could have. Look at how they hunt seals on flag pieces of ice.
@@orcinuswhalphin you are wrong. It has been proved that they ara attacking boats because fishermen when fishing they were harpooning them to dismiss them. So they start attacking boats as they learnt boats attack Orcas.
@@JRMBoost That’s also not true. If that’s so, then why don’t orcas attack every single boat they see? These animals are much more intelligent than we give them credit for. If they wanted to kill or hurt them, it wouldn’t be that hard.
