Awesome rc plane video Mads.....oh hang on a sec, they're flying cars!!😂 Those slow mo's came out superb dude, didnt they get some huge air time?! I still fancy getting a dirtmaster, they look like they drive extremely well for what they are! Great edit matey, and sweet soundtrack! 👍 👍 👍
He he, thanks Yoda! Yeah, I really like doing these jump videos, hopefully I manage one more before winter sets in, let's see... The dirtmaster is really good! Mine is a bit underpowered, but still manages alright, it drives well and is good fun. The build was a pleasant experience. Only thing I didn't like was the body design, so I was happy to get an aftermarket one. Thanks so much, buddy! It's not my normal music taste, but works really well for videos, he he...
Looked like fun out there! Both looked great and I loved the dual donuts at the end!! It was funny as in the beginning I saw the tires on the MP10 and said boy those are pretty cooked and then you mentioned you were finishing them off at the end! LOL!
Thanks Addam, I had a good time, it was nasty cold but worth it! Yeah, definitely gotta change those tyres over the winter, I got some really nice knobby ones for the Dirtmaster, hopefully they fit the wheels, he he...
Wow Mads, some awesome air-time there my friend, wonderfully captured in slomo! Looks even better in the spooky setting sun. Yeah thre music was cool too! Burn those tyres baby! 🤩🚀👍
Thanks Mark, I was so relieved to finally get out for a bash again! And happy I got footage worth sharing, all worth getting cold fingers for, he he... Yeah, those tyres gotta go now...
Thanks Alton! Yeah, all I wanted was to have a bit of fun in this speedrun, I didn't expect it to drive so nicely, so I eventually made it fast, he he...
Thanks Joe! I really didn't expect that car to be so good and stable, so eventually I decided to put a fast motor in it... It started as a bit of a joke, so I was genuinely surprised to achieve that great a speed...
@@madsrcbuggy Fedt :D kunne godt se at skiltene så en anelse syrede ud ;) Fed lille challenge. Faldt tilfældigt over den da jeg er ved at bygge en M08R. Good luck ;0) den går stærkt
Thanks Luke! Yeah, that speed was way beyond what I would have imagined. I had fun with the body, and I knew I needed to mount it firmly, so I was happy how it worked. I will try using Dual Lock in the future, might be even more firm...
Thanks Freddy! Yes, this went way above my expectations this year. I was planning to just be in brushed category and was literally aiming to stay below 50 mph, but a turn of events just changed everything, he he... Yeah, I had fun with the body, and I was happy I added the light, was much easier to line up for the speedrun...
Hey Mads, just listening from the beginning that you have caught the speed run bug. The excitement during the run tells it all. This is a heart pumping moment when the joy and fear hits you take a little time to come down from that high. 67mph is awesome, are we going to see another run with the Sonic Bread Wagon? Take care and keep the fun coming
Thanks Al! No, the Sonic Bread wagon is retired now, and I am just tired, he he... Cool name, though, thanks! Yes, I was very excited about this, and as you know, the damned camera picks that up, every grin and laugh is included in the videos, he he. Goodtimes, my friend!
Thanks man! Yeah, cya next year for sure! Was good fun this year, and I have a lot of RU-vid watching to catch up on, both speedrun and other stuff, he he...
Thanks Optima! Yeah, it started as a joke and somehow I decided to commit to it, and I am happy I did, it was very stable and drove really nicely at speed, very balanced!
Thanks Sean! I was really pleased and surprised to get to this speed, it was great! Funny, I am actually contemplating making a slalom challenge car out of the retired speedrun car, he he...
It is a bit nerve wracking to watch them flying past you and hoping you don't crash! Congrats on exceeding your goals with it. I have to get over 70+ mph to be happy with mine but honestly I guess I need to get a legit pass in first LOL! I am glad you had so much fun with it and congrats again!!!
Thanks Addam! Yes, watching the footage, it looks a bit wild... As I remember it, the car was very controllable, and I wasn't worried at all driving so close by myself, perhaps I should have been... With the front motor, I reckon a crash would have been really dangerous... I was happy to achieve this, maybe I'll aim for 70 next year, no idea what's my situation then... This year was a bit too busy to commit to a challenge, but I know you know that situation also... Have a good one, I look forward to seeing you crack that magic 70 McMiles speed barrier!
@@madsrcbuggy I think with the front motor layout you went with it really helped with the stability. All the weight up front and over the steering and pulling wheels lends itself to being controllable. The rest of the car weighs very little which also helps when slowing down, which can be super tricky with them stock, unless you hit a big post and then it is effortless and it stops immediately!! LOL!
@@AddamsPlayground Yeah, man, I was really lucky with that motor placement and weight bias. I think another factor I learned more about since last speedrun is the differentials, I have virtually locked the front and stiffened the rear a lot. The car tends to want to go straight, so the steering is really gummy and lazy, very big advantage on a speedrun car... Partly I am relieved it is over, but the devil in me also wants to get back at it, hopefully not before next spring, ha ha! Yeah, no idea how I managed to avoid the big drama this year, but at least you provided.🤣
Thanks Jeremy! I'm totally amazed and surprised with this myself, I can't understand how I could achieve such a result... Well, it's on video, so I'd better believe it, he he... Now just looking forward to getting back to proper RC stuff, sadly the summer is over now also...
Thanks Michi! Yeah, it was a crazy ride this year, from that stupid decision to drive the chassis backwards and being forced into "Open Class" and all that, it went pretty well, after all, and I had a good time, also!
Excellent work Mads, so close to 70mph but brilliant to go over the 100kph mark , you cant quit now ;) . It looks like there had been a donut competition going on behind you judging by the tyre marks 😂
Thanks Tony! Yeah, close to 70, but I am plenty fine with this achievement, it is way beyond what I expected... I don't have the time to invest into a proper approach to this competition, so I'm okay with this... Yeah, those boys probably come there every evening, having a good time, they probably were annoyed with me and my toy car there, he he...
Eyeyeyey, exactly, Dirk... Thanks buddy, I am really excited I achieved this kind of speed... We like our kilometers, and 100 is such a great number, he he!
Thanks again, Paul! Yeah, this one really got to me... I wasn't expecrting much, but lots of events turned this around to be not only fun, but also quite a big speed achieved, he he...
Thanks Glenn! Yes, completely amazing feeling! I think the camera caught much of it, but even after I got home I was still floating on the clouds and couldn't fall asleep at night... So weird, this performance hype, he he...
That was the best SRC finale video I've seen to date, Mads. The excitement in your voice when that 100+ km/h popped up was so awesome! I'm glad you had fun, dude. It's always so great having you in these speed run challenges. Hope to see you back again next year!
Ha ha, thanks Fil! You know I try to deliver, especially on entertainment factor... I was never expecting to go this fast, I almost doubled my initial target, and I have to admit your strict rules that forced me into "Open Class", I owe them the success... The ability to switch from brushed to brushless is truly a blessing, I know I will go for "Open" next year also. You can definitely count on me for SRC, even when you choose a crappy chassis like this, I needed to reverse it to make it half decent, ha ha!
Ha ha, Sakura, I have no words either... I wish I could speak Japanese, he he... 67, I am completely amazed, I did not expect that... Thanks for the comment, my new friend!
That was a wild ride, Mads! You did so well especially from where you started and with such a radical design, mate! That is an amazing speed to get out of a little Tamiya so well done my friend! I think you did everything within ze rules, as you are in open class I don't think it matters what type of motor you used. Thanks for being here in the competition and entertaining us so well! :D
Wild ride is what it's all about, Mark! Many thanks for the nice comment as always, my friend! Yeah, Fil replied to my email, so I am also guessing the run is approved... I'm amazed where this year's speedrun took me... I wasn't going to put much into it, but suddenly I commented on an OAG video I might run it backwards, and then I did that and extended the wheelbase and suddenly had to enter "Open Class"... Then the weirdest thing happened, the car drove great and suddenly I almost doubled my initial speed goal for this year... All that and when I think back on it, my MF chassis probably hasn't run more than 5 or 10 minutes in total... Such a strange challenge, this...
He he, both you two! I appreciate I can trust you'll be watching my videos early on, ha ha! As Fil would say, a small competition inside the competition...
Thanks for commenting! Yeah, I think it was EZ-RC, I believe I mentioned him in the video and most likely also put link to his video. It's a cool hack, I'm happy I did this...
Thanks man! I could see you also watched newest video, I managed to get a much better speed by switching to brushless. Can't say I regret choosing "Open class", he he...
Hey that was fun and looks like it is running really well so you can put some higher gearing on now. Enjoyed the onboard footage and crash. Good luck with the next one 😁👍👍
Thanks Pete! Yeah, I try to have fun, and hopefully able to give a bit to others, too, he he... Gearing is actually already pretty much in the red, now just need to up the power!
Thanks Jeremy! Yes, I am surprised that this weird thing actually performs quite nicely... So we see what happens when I make it go even faster, most likely it will end in disasater at some point... Yeah, that onboard thing and the crash, it was just so crazy I had to include it in the video, he he...
Thanks Shayne, good hearing from you, mate! Hope all is well there, I am missing your videos! I was happy with 72, but already got plans brewing for speed increase, he he...
@@TheflyingkiwiRC I'm looking forward to that, mate! I'm running out of good days soon for RC'ing, so it'll be good to watch some videos from Southern hemisphere, he he... Yeah, work seems to take so much time and energy, he he...
