Hello to the Wood Carving Community I'm Roger Stegall, a caricature Wood Carver from Arkansas. I've been carving ever since 1973 with a small carving knife, As a young boy I began whittling on sticks and making guns for the kids in my neighborhood. Later I became interested in the craft and have continued to carve through the years. Since retirement, from the US Postal Service, I'm carving almost daily. I love teaching and watching as the wood comes to life. Join me as we "Keep the chips flying!".
@RogerStegallWoodcarvings thanks for the lesson. Of course I have to follow a talented guy who started working the year I was born! Looking forward to learning more from you.
A man of your word!! Sitting, visiting and carving with you at the Rocky Mountain Carvers RoundUp was worth the trip. A truly wonderful experience. I learned much and had a fantastic time. I recommend you to everyone. I continue to watch and learn from the videos. Please keep them coming. Say hi and thanks to Payton. Like and subscribe.
Thank you for sharing all your experience with us, Mr. Roger. His work is fascinating. I would like to ask you: ¿what woods do you use to carve? I greet you with great admiration from Argentina.
Yeah!! 🎉 thank you Roger for the wonderful instructions, both on line and in Utah! I love watching your videos but learning from you directly was the highlight of the round up! I recommend everyone sign up for a class from Roger, you learn so much and the conversations are wonderful. Like and subscribe!!
Great video…..the wood you use is amazing…..where is it sourced. In the UK we can really only get European Lime which appears much harder ……certainly would not cut like this!
Roger, you told someone you would see them in Pensacola. Is there a class or carving group in Pensacola? I live nearby in Fort Walton Beach and would love to find a club.
