Hi there, I have a BF-888S, and every time I turn it on, its just a loud white noise sound. It only quits when I switch it to narrow band, however I have confirmed it works in wideband. Any suggestions as to how to get it to stop the white noise?
4:49 Thank you very much for these first minutes of your video and this original frequency table. These frequencies & tone codes now finally works with all my Baofengs and another TYT TH-F5 set according this table. On the internet pictures are many different codes. These original finally works for me.
that radio transmet at a half a watt gmrs requires a fcc license and batterys last about 3 hr.s your range is less then 1 mile I owen three of them and I also have a fcc license too use gmrs
2700 mile amp recharge able and I have two set's I charge the other two set's with wall charger's and bring them in my everyday care bag when I work a all day event.
The software should give you the option to reset the radio to its default settings and then once you hook it back up to the computer and read its files they should be back to their default form and you can remodify the frequencies you desire. Let me know if that helps.
I'm pretty sure the software is exclusively for either Linux or Windows. Chromebooks used in android-based OS built by Google I don't believe there is any app support for these radios through Chrome OS
I have owned and used one of these radios for just over two years and haven’t experienced any of these issues. Not sure if you got a bad one or what the deal is. Now to be honest, I primarily use this radio as a short distance crossband repeater and have it housed in a plastic junction type box, not carried on my belt or held each time it’s used but, just over two years and no issues so far. Might I suggest you contact the seller you purchased the radio from, explain the issues you have encountered and see if they can offer a satisfactory solution. Either way, good luck.
I have an idea to better clean up the install Have a relay that latches on with the button and wire the "latch off" input to the trunk light. So it stops closing when the light is turned off my the trunk coming down
That is a good idea, however as soon as the truck pops again it would trigger the motor unless you had a timer for the button or a way to reset it mechanically
@@The123Now yeah, once it's latched on the light stays on, and you'll have another relay that shuts the latch when the light looses power. You could also add a quick blow fuse that blows as soon as the amperage goes too high, say in case of someone getting caught in the way
best way you can do is put one radio across the room turn on know do a test speak in to your radio and lision what is coming out the other radio and make ajustments to where the mike is talk in a normal voice like you on the phone.
The easiest way to do that is to get a high-end UHF VHF radio antenna. The windings and what it's made out of will increase the range and reception capabilities of this radio
That's actually a really good question, I'm not exactly sure but at least the flashlight is still functional for emergency reasons. But don't take my word for it. I'll have to check it myself.
@@The123Now that is his answer as he did not read the book and will never come back and read your comments and reply back just give you his thought's and run till the next ut tub blowout.
You will need to go back through the settings on the programming software and select the language. I'm going to post a new video sometime soon showing how to do this.
It is literally a drill motor and a tie down strap attached to the drill to act as a wind up. You don't need anything fancy just a cheap cordless drill will work and you must disassemble it and mount it behind the rear seats. It was custom built
pull the clip on the top will slide off you should get about 500 charges per set when you get together as a group charge extra battery's with wall chargers and take them with when the battery's die change over to your back up
Hi there! Good question. I would estimate the batteries last around 2 hours of non-stop talking back and forth, they should last an average use AKA chatting with brakes in between for 6 to 8 hours
Hi there, good question. Start by restarting your computer and make sure you have the correct com selected on the software. Also make sure your radio is off and plug it in to your USB adapter first, then turn the radio on and the calm should be recognized. Sometimes the firmware doesn't go into Data mode on the radio if it's already on first when you plug it in. Give that a try and let me know
check the battery's turn on both radios look at the screen check settings If thay are the same thay will work if one is off change it good luck & have fun
