The LED unit has been designed to turn off after a minute or so. It happens to me too. There's nothing we can do about it. You can see the LED unit turn off pretty much before this video ends.
If you don't mind me asking how does it feel to hold? I'm tossing up between ordering this and the guardian elite with leather wrapping. I'm leaning towards the guardian at the moment but my main concern is how they feel to actually hold especially as I have smaller hands. The grip section of this looks like it'd be a little uncomfortable to hold without gloves (those concentric rings and the reach to the switch). As you have it I'm wondering if you could tell me how you find holding it in your bare hand?
Hi thanks for watching. I feel the concentric milled circles when gripping that section of the hilt but it is nowhere near uncomfortable even without gloves. I too have small hands and my thumb reach to the switches is perfect when gripping in that particular section.
Looks great! I've noticed a lot fewer problems when having a flat track. Have you tried using the AFX track clips? They're a bit of a pain to clip to the undersides of the track pieces, but do a great job holding everything together. Also, AFX offers safety walls with catch fences, that are about 3 or 4 times taller than regular guardrails, and do a great job containing much of the deslots.
Thanks! Indeed, having a flat track layout is so much better. This latest configuration is a place holder. We're working on a larger and longer track layout but that's for another video in the future. Yes, we do have the AFX track clips and these will be used later down the line. I have looked into these safety walls with catch fences since I've seen these cars literally fly off the track when going too fast on the curves, lol. These will definitly soften the fall on impact.
@@All-ScaleSlotCars yes unfortunately but if you have a laptop with WN 10 or 11 with a CD-ROM, you should be ok. We initially tried using an old laptop with WN7 but the protocols were too old it couldn't install the contents of the CD so we had to a get new cheap laptop. Because the latest laptops no longer have CD drives, we simply copied and pasted the CD contents from the old laptop to a thumb drive and used that on the new laptop to install the software.
That's all such great advice, thank you so much! I'm seriously considering this but was wondering 'why the CD' in this day and age, Lol! I have a Windows 10 laptop I can dedicate to this but no cd-rom drive, hopefully my son will let me borrow his portable drive! Please keep us all posted on how everything works out for you. Thanks again and have fun racing!
@@All-ScaleSlotCars No problem. Great new! They offer putting the contents of the CD in a thumb drive if you don't have a CD-ROM on hand. Check the link here viasue.com/shop/ols/products/thumb-drive-df7553

Do you know where i can get the Resblade sound font still? Im late to the game and Im about to get my first saber and it’s always been a fav font of mine (I even based my steam name off of it since I was a kid) but I can’t find it now :(
Great job on your first install dude!! Looks very clean! Installing will get easier and easier the more you do it. I’ve done 5 installs now so far and for me it’s addicting and thrilling turning it on for the first time. You can save so much money doing your own installs, I also prefer CFX even tho I can build my own config and wire proffie just don’t feel like doing a blade style code for each new font is tedious. I’m super glad Khal has kits like these for DYI people keep up the good work man and keep installing I’ve made some mistakes too and thankfully it’s easy enough to un solder something and to fix it
Thanks man! Appreciate your words of encouragement. Prior to this install, I had done 2 Blaster Core installs a few years back (DL-44 and NN-14) to save money. It really does make a huge difference cost-wise.
Best to look once in a while on eBay. These pop in and out then appear again from time to time from different sellers. Most sellers are from China or Hong Kong.
@@lmdrummerx it's from Hot Wheels. I bought this years ago. Prices will have changed. No assembly necessary. The only "assembly" is when changing the DeLorean from one iteration to the other.
The closest one I did was the LEGO TECHNIC Bugatti a few years ago. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-59otGJqOCYY.htmlsi=9Uhcu-dIb-yQyWCn
Hot toys’ headsculpt is too long. The neck is a tad bit short. The chest is too high and small. The middle ab is too small. Now what I think hot toys did right over inart are the shoulder guards and not having a tapered fit like the inart. Overall, I still think inart’s is the most accurate. Mainly because of the headsculpt. The hot toys’ headsculpt makes rob look 10 years older than he actually does. People say the differences are not significant, but i beg to differ. The differences are night and day.
The "abs" are definitely more accurate on the InArt. The HT neck being a tad short will be fixed when I replace the collar by OT Customs or AR15. As for the head, nothing I can do about that lol. Don't want to replace it with a custom head sculpt should someone do one. Overall, I personally would pick the HT version over InArt because the latter's inaccurate body proportion is immediately noticeable --- the HT head not so much. In the end, it boils down to personal choice.
@1515cci ahh nice. I own that one. I actually sold him my original OM TPM many years ago. Are you triggering the sounds of screen? I thought it was playing on its own haha.
I don’t use Twitter but I did address the LED lights in the head in the video linked below and in another video that is linked near the end of the one linked here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--x1aa0KBpBA.htmlsi=vTpTTl0CAv9yUaUn. Hopefully this will help you out. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks for watching the video.
@@1515cci I watched this video already, it didn’t help as the LED kit I got is smaller one activated by the magnet with the small battery. I’m having issues installing it in the head part of the figure as there no way to keep it secure inside.
Well done on your purchase, I am still waiting on the right one to turn on on ebay, people have over priced them unfortunately thinking they will get twice what there really worth, £700 for this is totally laughable for a mint unopened boxed version. There true value is £370 for a minter opend and £525 for a unopened. Not sure what you paid but beware of hot toys inflated market prices that people just make up. The jazzinc batmobile will be off the planet. Only a few more months and they will be heading out. Can't wait.... Happy hunting...
The plaque was part of a separate run Joost did on the JazzInc FB group a few years ago where we requested all sorts of plaques for our respective collections.
