Do you the smog check after you do the registration switch in CA or do you do it prior to the DMV visit. Also do they give you license plates in the mail with the registration ?
please pray for me , this will be my 2nd 12 hr drive alone plus a kitty :) , my first time didn’t go so well (the drive was smooth) it’s just some man followed me to my car and tried to get in and wouldn’t go away for a while 5 mins and no one helped. so that’s the only thing i’m worried about. getting out to use the bathroom

@@abnerdivera8696 I did not. For military, we are not required to re-register our vehicles to the state we’re stationed. Now, while stationed in CA, to do rideshare or use my vehicle business wise then yes I would have to. Which is why I look at your video to see the process.

I'm here in Texas and couldn't help but laugh at all the Texas comments. :) We also have border patrol stops in Texas and they aren't right by the border so I'm sure that's what New Mexico does too. Puts a stop a distance away from the actual border. :)
4 years ago I got honked at for going 70 on the highway. I found out that Cali highway speed limit is 65 but everyone goes 80 😂 the cops can’t pull everyone over! Great video dude, I’m going back to GA soon and you helped me realize it’s possible!
@@abnerdivera8696I did my car registration first and didn’t do my DL until months later because it was just hard to get into the DMV (make an appointment !). They can’t fine you because they aren’t keeping tracking with how long you’ve been there
@@dorcaslarry8014I just got my Cali plate from a DMV affiliate, but the price was almost 7b😢. I have one month remaining on my current auto insurance and have already requested to change my address. Would you suggest utilizing it and then getting new local insurance before it expires?
To hell with GPS,there's no way I would ever use that crap,back in the day we used our brains and never got lost ever, what the hell, I really felt bad for her,my son had the nerve to ask me how did we get around without a GPS and I told him to go home!

Hey, I know this vid is a bit old. But, I’m having trouble finding routes. I’m driving from NC to back home in California alone.. any tips? Did you get your car maintenance? How did you find your route?
You can see on the map the little dotted lines where each state ends and usually as you pass it you’ll see the sign so I stop, also if you Google you can also probably see it better too
I just made the drive from Jacksonville to LA, what a journey! Still getting all settled in. will probably take all summer, but I'm loving LA! Thanks for sharing!
