New covers every Thursday and Sunday! This channel mainly focuses on Rock, Metal, Grunge, and any sort of Alternative music genre. Also the owner of K-pop/pop bass tab channel "RED BASS".
Ah so literally just cuz Red is a pretty color. A bit anticlimatic of an answer but kinda fun. I am surprised with your ears and writing ability you aren't already a professional musician, that is what I would have thought you were like a session bassist.
Congratulations! I’ve been playing bass for almost 2 years mostly just for fun and personal growth. Discovering your channel was a godsend. Seriously this channel has covers from nearly all my favorite bands. You’re an amazing musician and deserve all your success! Thanks for all you do and congratulations again.
@@LeoBassCovers2I’d love to see more SoundGarden, grunge, and 90s bands in general. Other Bands like Black Sabbath, Melvins, Motörhead, Primus, Kyuss, etc.
Gotcha! Good to know. I think more people want to see Soundgarden and Audioslave, so that's definitely something I can arrange. Primus though.. it's so difficult..
Congrats! I'm not hating, but what is the point of redbass channel? Like your main channel is still pretty small, and if you posted those videos on your main, you would just make your main channel get more views. Again nothing against you.
No worries! I post them there because I am 10000% sure that people start to hate this channel. Leo Bass Covers is about anything alternative, metal, rock, grunge, etc. I would get more views, but I would get way more hateful stuff in return. When I uploaded a guitar solo cover of an Opeth song, I only received comments like "Where's the bass?".
Something I like about bass is that when you pluck the higher strings with a plectrum, the notes sound "huge",I guess. I don't actually know how to call it. It just sounds cool. Like sometimes they'd pluck the low E and it sounds pretty quiet, then all of a sudden, they pick the A string and it sounds "huge" or "loud". I wonder if it happens naturally when you play with a pick or if it has something to do with the EQ or something like that.
I get what you mean and I'm not sure why that is tbh. The higher frequencies will always be a little bit louder on a bass. However, we usually don't get to play higher notes that often so I think most bassists will give such notes some extra energy.
Let me guess, you're gonna see this comment on this 8 month old video too? And you're gonna respond to it as well? If so,i'm just gonna assume you either have multiple clones or you never leave your channel. Seriously, you've responded to most of my comments here already, and I don't even comment that much on this channel. Also, superb bass playing and covers. I love your vids so much.
If I would've played it on a 4 string, I probably would've gone for something thick like .120/125 as the lowest string. With a 5 string, you can basically put a capo on the 1st fret and you're in standard C anyway. It's been a long time but I'm pretty sure I used an auto-wah effect, along with fuzz
You really just have to put the treble on 11/10 on both the amp and the bass itself, go easy on mids and also something like 8/10 bass. A tiiiiny little bit of drive/distortion, but really his tone is built on treble
great playing as usual dude! shows how versatile and diverse Billy's bass playing is, he tastefully fits a lot in where it's needed and yet shows a lot of restraint at other times too, he's a legend!
