👋🏼 Hi! I'm Mike, and I love helping people connect with the best tech out there. Whether you're looking to buy a new product or get more out of the tech you already own, I want to help make that happen📱.
I'm always on the 👀 for the latest and greatest things to hit the tech market, as well as finding ways to get more from any existing tech before spending my hard-earned money.
As a long-time Apple user and I love finding ways to help people get more from their iPhone, iPad, and Mac in terms of purchase decisions and workflows.
The vast majority of my content is self-funded meaning that I bought it with my own money (to my wife's displeasure) and anytime I work with a brand, I call it out in the video so it's clear how the product ended up in my hands.
Let me know if you have any questions and feel free to comment in a video or reach out to me on Twitter or Instagram if you want to continue the conversation further.
How come you got the magnetic ESR version and not the ESR non-magnetic paper like screen protector? I am currently using that and I did also purchased the PAPERLIKE but I am holding off on installing it since the ESR came with two screen protectors.
I liked the magnetic version from ESR because it could be applied on top off their glass screen protector giving you a balance of using it when you want to. I did not try the non-magnetic version.
I’m considering it mainly cause of that new Tandem OLED display + of the design and how lightweight it is. I don’t currently have an iPad and although I will mostly use it for media consumption I think i’ll go for the M4 iPad Pro 😅
I definitely think that both are just personal preference, i have smaller hands so the 11in M4 pro works best for me every though the 13 is lighter i have a 13 inch MacBook Air that i just adore and i split that into 4 screens so i didn’t see it worth getting the 13in iPad Pro even though it would be fun to have it the smaller screen works well for me. Also i use this for a movie screen for my kids in the car and it fits in the holder perfectly. Both are great and whatever anyone chooses i think you’ll like them both. The iPad pros this year i think are great!
For the Logitech combo issue of 3rd party dock cables not fitting with case on, any attachments that you’ve found that can be used to get around this issue? I like to dock mine to HP dock but have that exact issue with the cable end casing being too wide to fit with Logitech case on.
I might be a bit late to the party, but regarding tags, I use shortcuts (Control-1 to Control-7) to organize items like photos in a folder while previewing them quickly (space bar). For instance, Control-1 is for my favorite landscape photos, Control-2 for my favorite Black and White shots, and so on.
I love it because I have a laptop that has dual thunderbolt 4 ports; so I can just plug it in iMacs at my university library and use them as a external monitor for my windows laptop!! it really helps to minimize the cables and it’s so convenient that you just need to plug and play, both of your power and display gets sorted. I recommend using a 1 m thunderbolt 4 pro cable but 1.8m is good bank for the buck as it’s not twice expensive as 1m considering it’s twice the length. yes cheap cables work until you try to take full advantage of the thunderbolt 4 capabilities, so if you’re going to use it from your laptop to your display; i suggest using the 1m one.
I love the 13” M4 iPad Pro. I also use the ESR screen protector (no brainer). Love having cellular and AirPods. Makes the best travel computer. Love your video content, keep up the great work! Also the Microsoft Surface Arc Mouse is an awesome travel mouse and its use with the iPad.
Cellular on an iPad is such a massive gamechanger. I also used to think it was unnecessary till I started using one. Now all new iPads that I buy are always the cellular models (including my new 13inch M4). Nothing beats a stable connection that doesn’t burn through your phone’s battery and randomly disconnects during the most important moments.
@@arondyte318 I agree! I always thought the hotspot was cumbersome, but I’ll deal with it for the five or 10 seconds. It takes, but sometimes it takes up to a few minutes. And sometimes a lot of the time actually, I’m sitting in my son support classes or something so being able to just open and go is such a great asset. Coupled with my ADHD. It’s definitely the difference between getting something done and not. It’s actually why I switched over to Apple products anyways. I just can’t beat their accessibility services so I’m back with them again. Picked up an iPad because even though I have a laptop, having to save it on my Drive and then transferred over waste extra time. The cellular has come in clutch on several occasions in the month that I’ve had it. Makes it totally worth the 20 bucks a month. For example, this shouldn’t be happening often, but I had to go help my mom who tore a tendon in her leg and I had to take my son with me. she did tell me that her Internet and cable were out so my son had nothing to do, but I did bring his tablet in the hopes that he would just sit there while I ran her errands. I was able to use my iPad and cellular connection and had a stable connection the whole time I was gone. if that wouldn’t have worked, I would’ve had to in the 110° summer heat where I’m at have to switch the car seat from one car to another since I don’t have air conditioning in and not alone is worth a years worth of Internet payments😂
CPD in the house! We lived in Norwood Park, but we also lived in Bridgeport, Bucktown, and Logan Square. Essentially, we kept moving west along the blue line, lol.
@@ItsCaputo Looks a bit goofy but I travel quite a bit and when you want to capture video of the area you are, walking with the 360 on the selfie stick over your shoulder gives you a drone like 360 degree view that shows you things when reviewing what you didn’t notice at the time. Is a great memory capturer.
I tried the Magic Keyboard for my new iPad Air M2, but I did not think it was worth the money and returned it. I ended up buying the Logitech Combo Touch and I think it is a better value overall. It works perfectly, and I do like the function keys the bigger trackpad and the case protecting the iPad when not using keyboard.
I have the Rebound case and it's literally better in basically every single way for a third of the price of the official Magic Keyboard minus function keys (I have the 11" which doesn't have function keys, only the 13" does.) and the "smart connector". But I happily gave those up for a built in slim ipad case, the ability to magnetically use it in portrait mode and ability to set the tablet magnetically at different heights for neck comfort. I can also change the color of the backlight on the keyboard and it has a flap to secure the Apple Pencil. How do you justify having WAY less features for more than THREE TIMES the cost...and why would anyone buy the Apple Magic Keyboard....Fantastic purchase.
I am not a tech-savvy type of person. I thanknypunfor the review. I gotta ask. Every reviewer talks about the weight of the case. Does weight matter? When I was hiking portions of the PCT I focused on weight. Every gram counts. But this is an iPad case. Just curious. Thank you, my friend.
The overall weight impacts the portability, meaning the heavier it is, the less likely you are to roam around with it. This isn't a concern for most people because they use the iPad in 2-3 locations, all clustered together in one location like their home. But if you're leaving the house with it regularly, you'll notice the difference over time.
