Great post. I have the dvd set. This bluray set has only 72 shorts with Curly, 20 Curly shorts are missing 🤨. Still a great set and i will buy it and upgrade...but im not ridding of the dvd set. I want all 92 Curly shorts.
@CrimsonThorns I bought it and the shorts look great in HD and your right Curly has twenty shorts missing, Shemp got it worse with around 52 shorts missing and Joe Besser has 14 shorts missing. Glad I kept my dvd set.
Plan to pre-order the Ultimate Collector's ED 4K Steelbook of Nightmare O.E.S. very soon. Can't wait to add it to my collection it's gonna be well worth the wait!
Columbia Pictures produced 190 Three Stooges shorts, all are owned by Sony. There are no copyright issues with the shorts. All could have and SHOULD have been included in this set. Sony gave us only 100 shorts on this blu ray set. I would rather have the remaining 90 shorts instead of the Shemp Howard, Joe Besser and Joe DeRita solo shorts and the 2000 television “biopic”, which was more heavy on fiction and myth than actual fact. But, I am glad that all of the Columbia produced Curly-Joe feature films are included. “In Orbit” is on blu ray for the very first time.
I've only seen the first disc and the quality is amazing. Unfortunately, I do not have the dvd set/sets to compare. But I suggest hand onto those because there are missing shorts. I love the set but it's incomplete. But I say it's worth it lol.
It's nice that you reviewed this, but it's still disappointing they skipped out on the rest of the 90 other shorts from the Columbia archive. It's hard to feel grateful about this release if all 190 shorts, let alone all 97 shorts of the Curly era aren't there. I would have preferred they made a Blu-ray collection of just the 97 shorts with Curly with adding the solo shorts of the later Stooges and add the 2000 biopic; I know it's more than just Curly, Larry and Moe, but at least it's enough. I just hope Sony will learn from this and improve this release by all the remaining 90 shorts they left out.
Bro, been waiting to see an unboxing of this since I heard about it being released like six months ago. So glad to see that you’re the first on RU-vid to have your stuff uploaded. Thank you for this review and unboxing.
Loved the movie the directors first movie was so good. Lots of call backs but also worked on its own u can tell a lot of love went into this movie fits perfectly with the original omen .
I actually always found the "cheap" AI to be one of my favorite parts about this game. They do a lot of nonsense, but it's mostly the same kind nonsense very high level competitive players do in every FG, like pristine spacing, screen control, solid reactions, conditioning and forced mixups, etc., with only a few exceptions (throw break and dash block reactions are often inhuman). It's not like old Mortal Kombat cheap that just walks up to you and immediately sweeps the frame you stand up or stop blocking, and throws otherwise, or SF6 where you can't poke with 5MK cuz they just input read reaction DI or jab CH drive rush full combo punish you, and it is entirely possible to beat the AI by just having strong FG fundamentals yourself without having to exploit patterns. But yeah, honestly the brutal AI stops most people from enjoying it casually. I love how the slow heavy movement makes it feel very much like a kaiju game without crippling the gameplay depth, but the difficulty pushing away casuals while the lack of illusion of depth, along with the lower skill ceiling, makes it unattractive for FG players, putting the game in an awkward niche. Even as a former competitive FG player, I find this gameplay a lot more satisfying than a lot of the neutral skip RPS guess/OS-fests of many modern FGs. The strong emphasis on knowledge, spacing, timing, and yomi in this game makes the player interaction feel as meaningful as 3S at times, and the short infrequent combos ironically forces a faster decision making rate compared to most FGs.
As the TO for GKD Monthlies, I love to see the review! We've been going for almost 3 years now, and anyone getting a bit of knowledge in the game is always awesome. Edit: DAMN YOU GOT THE BOX AND MANUAL TOO?!?!?! I need to get me some of that... Edit 2: Plus, if you input the best cheat code (while holding L and R, press Up, Left, Right Down, Y, X, B, and A), you can unlock every boss character! That means you get Heisei MG, Super MG (with a detectable and controllable Garuda), and the Gotengo. Although, in most tournament settings he's banned, due to him being very overpowered and having a very easy infinite. Edit 3: Yeah, for an SNES game, the inputs are very smooth and forgiving. You can exploit this in making a shortcut for most of the cast's Wrath Attack inputs: Normally you do a Wrath Attack by doing 632146H (or Forward to Down to Back to Forward plus Heavy Attack), but because the controls are so smooth and forgiving, you can do 313H instead (or Forward-Down to Back-Down to Forward-Down). This especially works if you're emulating and using an analog stick, as the shortcut can save you so much time. Edit 4: Eh, I think I'll disagree on you with the balance front (when it comes to competitive play), I've had people stunt on me with low tiers just as hard as high tiers (the highest legal character being Super MG), but I am 100% agreeing with you on the AI front Although the setting says Expert in-game, they forgot to mention that they got Deep-Blue and Stephen Hawking himself to code the thing, because my God the AI will swag on you and destroy you in ways you wouldn't dream of. I always tell people if you wanna train, just play the Normal Mode against the Expert AI, because the Expert AI beats high level players on the regular. Hell, here a clip of me getting owned by a Gigan on Expert AI, and in the description you can read the best player in North America breakdown why it's so crazy: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pmhBImrtl-o.html Like, BoswerLK (the GOAT of the scene right now) has said the AI even does Conditioning, which is a technique pros use in high-level competition. HOW DID THEY FIT THIS MUCH INTELLIGENCE ON AN SNES CARTRIDGE?!?! I think, relative to the amount of moves and the overall complexity of the game, this game has the best fighting game AI of all time. Bar none. Final Edit: W review. 8/10 is totally justified for a three-decade old SNES game, in fact I think it speaks to how well it has aged since we're going by modern standards. We share the same views on the game; amazing graphics and sound design, with the main drawback being lack of features and the AI. I'll add to this with one more pro and con: Pro: Despite this game already having very modern sense of control-leniency, in the options menu they let you reconfigure your controls to whatever you want, even including the shoulder buttons. While this doesn't affect you much if you're emulating, if you're playing the real deal but usually grab with the left shoulder button, you can rebind it to that button! Con: Grabs in this game are weird. Like, weird-weird. In most games, when you grab someone, it either auto-completes the grab depending on what direction you're facing, or you just press a button to tell the game which grab you wanna do. Is that how it works in GKD? *Hell no.* You have to hit the grab button, wait for it to land, and once you see it taking hold of the other player, you do a command input and hit the grab button again. Now, you may be saying to yourself, "wow, although that sounds a bit hard, surely the input is just a regular quarter-circle", and you would be *wrong.* The most basic grab you can do is Forward to down (632B), which is an input ONLY FOUND IN GRABS! The others are usually, Forward to down to back (63214B), Back to down to forward (41236B), Forward to up to back (69874B), and everyone's highest damaging grab, a full-circle input, aka Up to back to down to forward (8741236B). Now, with all of these complex inputs, do you know what you have to do to break out of a grab? Surely it's a tech-thing where you have to input the right button and guess the grab they choose, right? Nope, you have to press 4 buttons. Any 4 buttons. If you put your thumb in the middle of all of your buttons and press down, you can do this in basically a fraction of a second. Now, I will say that despite the risk-reward for grabs being mostly too high for most fighters, some characters like Gigan's buzzsaw move eliminating a third of your health and some grab moves like Ghidorah's move where he throws you upward (which leads to a combo you can do) make grabs worth it. Plus, you can do a tech called "I hope it lands", and input the command input while the initial grab is still coming out, and the game will still recognize it. But otherwise, yeah, grabs in this game are at their best a high risk-reward maneuver only performed by professionals and at their worst a mechanic you should never use at all. But yeah, I loved this video, and I will be showing it to my other GKD friends, so you'll probably get an influx of support tomorrow. I hope to see you do those livestream on GKD, and hey, if you're interested, maybe you might join the GKD Monthly Discord server some day. I hope you have a good one man.
Thank You for everything! I LOVE your comment! I agree with you! Thank You fir the tips! Hopefully I can invest in a capture card and live stream for everyone lol. I will think about the GKD Discord server. Thank You for watching!
Good review. Yes I’m a huge MGS fan. I have not gotten a copy yet, I’ll probably wait till vol 2 comes out so I can get both together. I’m not in a rush since I already have the legacy collection on PS3 and of course the original games on PlayStation/PS2, multiple copies. I have five copies of MGS1 on PlayStation, four copies of MGS2, three copies of MGS3. And I still like playing them on original consoles and on a CRT TV, it’s the nostalgia factor, I remember when all the MGS games came out.
Thank You! Nice to see a big fan having multiple copies! I mostly remembered when MGS$ came out since my dad brought a gaming magazine at the time promoting it.
@@JAVIWOODPRODUCTIONS awesome, I love gaming magazines, I collected a bunch. and I’d love to see you share more gaming content on the channel. and your history with Metal Gear Solid. Btw I just shared my entire MGS game collection on IG, see every game I bought is a different edition, except for MGS1.
Nice! I will do more gaming content, Gonna invest in a capture card someday lol. I could capture footage from my 4K TV, and the results do look good and old school lol. Hopefully I can cover more MGS content soon.
@@JAVIWOODPRODUCTIONS I also have other content on my channel as well since I have multiple interest so I apologize if anything seems uninteresting or inconsistent.
Yep! And Thank You! The Blu-Ray is from the Warner Archive Collection. It is also available in the complete series box set along with Batman And Mr. Freeze: Sub Zero movie. It's pretty easy to find. It is a bit pricey because it is from the Warner Archive Collection. Fun Fact: Mask Of The Phantasm Blu-Ray was a test to see if anybody will buy the animated series on Blu-Ray. It sold so well that Warner Bros. did the box set.
Awesome video! I’m still ecstatic I own these, I occasionally pull them off the shelf and just hold them lol. I still need to dig into the new special features.
Same here! Hopefully we get the rest of the films in this format. Maybe even a site exclusive box for us to put our movies in it lol. Also, thank you bro!
Great review!! I'm enjoying this video! I was about to get this figure also! Hoping to collect all the enshrined figure🤣 but at my country couldn't find the 95' Burning Godzilla already🥺 just my 2 cent, I think the focus of the cam can be improve a little bit. and also a ruler for height measurement, so ppl can know if this fit in their shelf🤣🤣 oh and the background is nice! such great a collection👍👍
Thank You! Hopefully I do get a digital ruler soon lol. Thank you for the advice! I always do my best to improve my content! Hope you do find the 95' Burning Godzilla. More figure content to come soon! Thank You for the support!
Good review. I’m curious about the movie, I look forward to watching, though from the trailer the grandma seems very cringy. I liked Angry Joe’s review, he delved into the characters quite a bit, talked about what they did right and wrong. I don’t like the Double Toasted guys making fun of Mexicans in their review, seemed racist.
Thanks Bro! Yeah Nana was goofy in the trailer but in the movie she is awesome and hilarious lol. Nice to see you enjoyed Angry Joe's review. I enjoyed Double Toasted's review but yeah it seemed racist. I feel they went too hard on the film but I get where they come from after seeing so many movies lol.
I love Anime like Akira ghost in the shell dragon ball franchise cowboy bebop yu gi oh all the Anime classic movies and TV series and more I love manga magazine DVDs trading cards t shirt figures funko pop and more Japanese movies Anime Japanese food Japanese drinks and Japanese stuff is my favourite hobbies

Awesome video! Great collection. That Rock the Dragon set is cool. the 30th anniversary has some good artwork on the box and book. I was sad on Akira Toriyama’s passing, Dragon ball left a big impression on me, all week I was just watching my Dragon Ball DVDs, and listening to the soundtrack. And last week I also just bought some Dragon Ball manga in honor of his passing. I always wanted to buy the manga, I was just delaying it, now I’m going to collect all Dragon ball manga. my history with Dragon ball, I grew up watching it, I first watched on TV in 1998 then got really into it in 2000s on Toonami, I was recording it on VHS tapes, I also saw it in Spanish when I lived in Mexico for 3 months(I love the Latin Spanish dub). I drew a lot of Dragon Ball art in high school, I had a DBZ magazine and collected DBZ toys, had some original DVDs but they were too expensive $20 for just 3-4 episodes. then when I saw they released the Orange Bricks you get 26 episodes for 44.99, I was glad I could finally own the entire show (I waited till all volumes were released before I bought them all). Then I started buying the Dragon Boxes as they were being released, to this day it’s my favourite release(I tried watching DBZ HD on streaming, but I couldn’t do it, it’s too flat looking without the grain and it’s over saturated, smeared water color looking. I just love the Dragon boxes, it’s the most complete package of the show for US releases, the slight off colors doesn’t bother me. I have all the DBZ movies on blu ray and original full screen DVDs to see it in 4:3, for a different look. I also have the Blue bricks, Original DB DVDs(my preferred way to watch, because it’s more sharper and has Japanese titles cards, until French release gets completed and has English subs). I have the complete green brick, and Original US DBGT DVDs(my preferred way to watch because it uses the Dragon Box transfer and Japanese title cards). I have All of Dragon Ball Kai on blu ray and dvds for the Yamamoto score. And I have all the Dragon Ball super blu rays. And I have mostly all the video games released(only missing two on PS3 and the rpg card games on Nintendo DS , which I will track down at some point). So yeah I have a pretty huge collection. thanks for sharing your collection
Thank You! Wow you got THE Collection lol. The Latin American Dub slaps! Glad to know we are honoring his Legacy by enjoying his creation. It was my pleasure to share my collection! Also, I got chills reading your comment, and teared up!
DAMN BOX-CASE DOES NOT LIST "ATMOS" AND ONLY 5.1 AND 2.0 SOUND; IT IS IN ATMOS, YES? JUST LISTING "ATMOS" WAS OMITTED, MISPLACED, FORGOTTEN... TO BE PUT ON THE BOX-CASE, CORRECT? THANKS.
Cool pickups. Good Burger is my Jam, I need to own that on blu ray. I was a big fan of Kenan and Kel. “They keep you laughing in the afternoon…”. Yes I’d like to see more pickup videos and collection tour someday If you like. I’d love to hear you tell stories of your time at Best Buy, I grew up poor didn’t have internet fully until 2008. so I think that’s cool you grew up with some similar experiences as I.
