The best times to live in Iceland were between 2016 - 2018 , as I did as a foreigner, I really remember the massive affluence of people coming in and out of the country, and at times it felt like some hypnotic Disnelyland of foreign cultures all mingling in with this strange nordic culture of the locals. Those times are long gone now but it just feels special to have lived in that place and time which had a specific Zeitgeist of its own.
