In 1956 the 28-year old Brighton-based vocalist Johnny Webb was a guest singer with the BBC Showband. Columbia A&R chiefs Norrie Paramor & Ray Martin were driving through London when they heard him on their car radio. They sent Johnny a telegram asking him to "come and see us", and he subsequently signed a recording contract.
my parents saw the movie and bought the vinyl. I listened to it when I was maybe 8 years old and loved this song....still remember and can't believe it's the same band as "Blinded by the Light"!

An interview with Lux and Poison Ivy of The Cramps from 2004 brought me here. This is fun! I can definitely see this inspiring a bit of The Cramps. Poison Ivy said this is a song she’d play over and over. Thank you for sharing this. 🌹
I miss rocky so much. When I moved to Tulsa he showed me around and introduced me to all the locals and we had a ton of good times smokin’ out in his mg or my truck.
